Dear Mom and sister,

Last week my teacher introduced the class to “Genius Hour- Shark Tank”! This is research unit
that allows me to learn about a topic of my choice.

Let me explain more about Genius Hour. Genius Hour is when students are able to have time to
learn about something they're passionate about.

As preparation for this unit we watched the ABC’s television show “Shark Tank.” We were able
to learn about kids like us that were able to turn their PASSIONS into PRODUCTS to make a
PROFIT.

Some of the things I saw on Shark Tank were a girl making healthy lollipops also I saw two little
boys that made socks and they made a lot of money by selling it.

Since watching the show I have come up with a Genius Project that I must work on over spring
break.

Topic: Recycling

Project Idea: I want to make a project of the recycling materials.

My plan is to clean some of the parts of the community and research

Plan: what are some projects i can make by the recycling materials.

Product: What I will have to recycling project.

Materials I need: I Have to research ….

Steps I have to take to If ​i am going to make this project am need to collect recycling
complete the project: materials and then make a project of it.

This Project is important to me because I always wanted to see the community clean.

As my parent, there are many ways to help. You can help me expand my ideas and find
resources. You can also help by finding the materials i need.
