The Lion King Review
The film The Lion King was directed by Rob Minkoff and Roger
Allers. It stars Matthew Broderick as Simba and James Earl
Jones as his father, Mufasa. The film won two Oscars in 1995
for Best Music: Original Song (Elton John, Tim Tice) and Best
Music: Original Score (Hanz Simmer); won three Golden Globes
in 1995 for Best Original Score - Motion Picture (Hanz Simmer),
Best Original Song - Motion Picture (Elton John, Tim Rice) and
Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical.
The film is about Simba, a lion who loses his father, Mufasa and
flees because his uncle makes him believe that the death of his
father was his fault. When he get lost in the savannah they
find him, Timon (suricata) and Pumba (boar), and they
establish a great friendship and teach him to live life to the
fullest. They give him the courage to go back and face his
uncle and save his pack.
