The Greatest Showman is a musical genre film that was released in the United States on
December 20, 2017. This film was directed by Michael Gracey and starred several famous actors
and actresses, namely Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and
Zendaya. This film tells the true story of the founder of the first circus, Phineas Taylor Barnum.
In this film, we will hear catchy and ear-friendly songs that spoil the audience for more than one
and a half hours. In addition to the incredible sequence of songs, this film will also amaze the
audience with the choreography that is displayed beautifully. Because of this, this film received
nominations for the Best Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy and Best Actor categories. For the
song "This Is Me," the film won the Best Original Song category and was nominated for Best
Original Song at the 90th Academy Awards.
The Greatest Showman tells the story of Barnum (Hugh Jackman), who managed to put on a
great and phenomenal show in the 1840s. The story of this musical begins with young Barnum
and his tailor father. The father, who later died, forced Barnum to struggle alone in the harshness
of New York society. Years later, Barnum finally married Charity Hallett, his childhood love.
Charity, who comes from high society, spurs Barnum to be successful in life and not be
underestimated by those around him.
Inspired by his children's ideas, Barnum then determined to gather "weird" people with a little
too much spice to the weirdness. Barnum gave them a show in the museum building he bought.
This group of "weird" people later became phenomenal and everyone's talk, which led Barnum
to become one of the most successful entrepreneurs in New York at that time.
Barnum's life and the people around him are packaged in neat scenes and music. The story of
Barnum and his circus is told simply but interestingly enough to be enjoyed. From the ranks of
the cast, the actors are very suitable and fit for carrying out their roles. The audience was carried
away by the atmosphere presented by the players.
Every scene sung by Hugh Jackman will hypnotize the audience. No less impressive is the acting
of Michelle Williams, who plays Charity and successfully plays the showman's wifes, who plays

Phillip Carlyle, Barnum's business partner. Zendaya also makes this film even cooler. Without
