Classroom Management Plan

Miss Jules
Grade 4
Desk arrangement: desks in groups on 4, called “pods”. This is your team for the quarter to work
together and bring new ideas.
Assignments and Homework: Turn into the purple tray by the door of the classroom.
 Assignments will be graded or checked then put in your mailboxes for you to take home
for parents to view.
Classroom rules:
1. Be respectful
2. Treat others the way you want to be treated
3. Follow directions of what Miss Jules instructs
Restroom breaks: random throughout the day, whenever convenient. Please ask Miss Jules to
use the restroom if needed otherwise.
Traveling through school: we will quietly line up at the door before leaving so we can practice
being respectful when walking by classrooms that are learning.
Discipline:
1. A warning will be given
2. Name in the book
3. Walk 2 laps at recess for every time your name is in the book that day
Learning centers:
 Back table- this is where students will work one on one with Miss Jules
 Rocking chair- students will sit in front on the rocking chair as a class to read or follow
instructions given by Miss Jules
 Bean bags- students will rotate days to read here during D.E.A.R. time
Sign out: anytime a single student leaves, sign out in the book by the door and purple tray. List
name, time out, and the place going.
End of the day: class will gather papers and folders from mailboxes and pack backpacks. We will
line up at the door and wait for the bell to ring.
Parent connection: weekly newsletters will be sent home each Monday as an update for what is
planned for the week. There will also be a group email in case of emergencies.
Parent involvement: students will have books and study tools sent home for extra practice if
needed. Parents will need to sign a sheet clarifying they completed the extra practice.
