Miss Jules
Grade 4
Desk arrangement: desks in groups on 4, called “pods”. This is your team for the quarter to work
together and bring new ideas.
Assignments and Homework: Turn into the purple tray by the door of the classroom.
Assignments will be graded or checked then put in your mailboxes for you to take home
for parents to view.
Classroom rules:
1. Be respectful
2. Treat others the way you want to be treated
3. Follow directions of what Miss Jules instructs
Restroom breaks: random throughout the day, whenever convenient. Please ask Miss Jules to
use the restroom if needed otherwise.
Traveling through school: we will quietly line up at the door before leaving so we can practice
being respectful when walking by classrooms that are learning.
Discipline:
1. A warning will be given
2. Name in the book
3. Walk 2 laps at recess for every time your name is in the book that day
Learning centers:
Back table- this is where students will work one on one with Miss Jules
Rocking chair- students will sit in front on the rocking chair as a class to read or follow
instructions given by Miss Jules
Bean bags- students will rotate days to read here during D.E.A.R. time
Sign out: anytime a single student leaves, sign out in the book by the door and purple tray. List
name, time out, and the place going.
End of the day: class will gather papers and folders from mailboxes and pack backpacks. We will
line up at the door and wait for the bell to ring.
Parent connection: weekly newsletters will be sent home each Monday as an update for what is
planned for the week. There will also be a group email in case of emergencies.
Parent involvement: students will have books and study tools sent home for extra practice if
needed. Parents will need to sign a sheet clarifying they completed the extra practice.
