AN ANALYSIS OF PLOT IN HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED

CHILD PLAYSCRIPT BY JK ROWLING

ABSTRACT
One of the intrinsic element of plot. Plot is an important element of fiction, not
even a few people who regard it as the most important among the various
elements of other fictions. Structural reviews of fictional texts are often more
emphasized on plot talks while using other terms. the formulation of the study are:
How is the situation plot in Harry Potter and and the cursed child playscript by JK
Rowling ? 2) How is generating circumstances plot stage in Harry Potter and the
cursed child playscript by JK Rowling ? 3) How is rising action plot stage in
Harry Potter and the cursed child playscript by JK Rowling? And, 4) How is the
climax plot stage in Harry Potter and the cursed child playscript by JK Rowling?
The researcher used qualitative research design The data used in this study
are words, sentences, atmosphere and phrases that describe the plot in Harry
Potter and the Cursed Child by JK Rowling. The approach that will be used is
structuralism approach. In qualitative research, the main instrument or research
tool is the research herself.
Based on the data analysis, the result can be describe as follows, 1) The
Situation Stage, Albus was very worried if he would enter the Slytherin
dormitory, because he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his first father and
brother, James, who entered the Gryffindor dormitory. 2) The Generating
Circumstances: Problems Trigger. Albus and Scorpius then made friends and sat
in the same compartment 3) Rising Action a Stage: The Conflict occur. Amos
Diggory, the father of the late Cedric, asked Harry to use Time-Turner to save
Cedric. Harry refused the request and said that he did not have a Time-Turner. 4)
The Climax Plot is the condition ehere Albus was angry and accidentally said that
he did not want to be Harry's child. Harry was emotional and said that he hoped
he did not have children like Albus.

ABSTRAK
Salah satu elemen intrinsik plot. Plot adalah elemen penting dari fiksi,
bahkan tidak sedikit orang yang menganggapnya sebagai yang paling penting di
antara berbagai elemen fiksi lainnya. Tinjauan struktural teks fiksi sering lebih
ditekankan pada pembicaraan plot sambil menggunakan istilah lain. rumusan
penelitian ini adalah: Bagaimana plot situasi dalam Harry Potter dan dan naskah
anak terkutuk oleh JK Rowling? 2) Bagaimana menghasilkan tahap plot keadaan
dalam Harry Potter dan naskah anak terkutuk oleh JK Rowling? 3) Bagaimana
panggung tindakan naik panggung di Harry Potter dan naskah anak terkutuk oleh
JK Rowling? Dan, 4) Bagaimana tahap plot klimaks dalam Harry Potter dan
naskah anak terkutuk oleh JK Rowling?
Peneliti menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif. Data yang digunakan
dalam penelitian ini adalah kata-kata, kalimat, suasana dan frasa yang
menggambarkan plot dalam Harry Potter and the Cursed Child oleh JK Rowling.
Pendekatan yang akan digunakan adalah pendekatan strukturalisme. Dalam
penelitian kualitatif, instrumen utama atau alat penelitian adalah penelitian itu
sendiri.
Berdasarkan analisis data, hasilnya dapat digambarkan sebagai berikut, 1)
Tahap Situasi, Albus sangat khawatir jika dia akan memasuki asrama Slytherin,
karena dia ingin mengikuti jejak ayah dan saudara laki-laki pertamanya, James,
yang memasuki asrama Gryffindor. 2) Keadaan Pembangkit: Masalah Pemicu.
Albus dan Scorpius kemudian menjalin pertemanan dan duduk di kompartemen
yang sama 3) Meningkatnya Panggung: Konflik terjadi. Amos Diggory, ayah
almarhum Cedric, meminta Harry menggunakan Time-Turner untuk
menyelamatkan Cedric. Harry menolak permintaan itu dan berkata bahwa dia
tidak memiliki Time-Turner. 4) Plot Klimaks adalah kondisi di mana Albus marah
dan secara tidak sengaja mengatakan bahwa dia tidak ingin menjadi anak Harry.

conversations.

blanket to Albus which is the only
relic of his mother, Lily Potter, as a
gift; but Albus refused the gift and the
two argued that the bottle containing
Ron's love pots accidentally spilled
on the blanket. Carried emotionally,
Albus states that he hopes Harry is
not his father and vice versa.

year, Rose, working to improve his
relationship with Albus, justifies

and Lilly, his little sister, got fairy
wings. Only Albus got a blanket that
could not be used. Albus did not
know, that at one time, this blanket
would save him. He was angry and
accidentally said that he did not want
to be Harry's child. Harry was
emotional and said that he hoped he
did not have children like Albus.
Despite his quarrel with his
father, Albus continued to implement
Cedric's rescue plan. Together with
Scorpius and Delphi, they drank
polyjuice potions and sneaked into the
ministry to steal the Time-Turners
hidden there. They disguise
