The document summarizes integrated coastal resource management programs implemented in Camiguin and Davao del Sur from 2001-2011. Both programs aimed to rehabilitate and sustainably manage coastal resources through community-based conservation efforts. Key components included establishing marine protected areas, assessing fisheries and ecosystems, providing alternative livelihoods, and increasing public awareness. As a result, coral reef, mangrove, and seagrass habitats improved and fish catches increased in both sites. The Camiguin program established 16 MPAs while the Davao del Sur program created 18 MPAs through multi-sectoral participation and partnerships.
