 BACKGROUND
As we know, in the daily life of human beings produce
many thousands of bins to meet their needs. These needs may
include food, clothing, or residence. From these diverse needs,
will inevitably produce bins. Both organic and inorganic
garbage bins that can damage the environment.
 PROBLEM
IDENTIFICATIONS
The impact that may occur if the garbages are not
properly managed are numerous. Some of them are water
pollution, air pollution, disturbance of aesthetics, and become
a source of disease. This is very detrimental to humans.
 THE PROBLEMS
In Semarang, trash is also a problem which occurs either
in urban areas or in the suburbs. Trash is never exhausted
because every day there will be a new garbage produced by
society. Especially in a residential area that away from landfills.
Usually people will collect the trash and will burn it. Moreover,
in many cases people throw litter in improper place.
 DISCUSSION
One such impact is the blockage of waterways with
garbage. This is obviously very detrimental to the public as this
can lead to bad thing to happened. As the overflow of rain water
when heavy rain from the drains because the drains are clogged
water can not pass through smoothly or completely impassable
water.
 DISCUSSION
In the residential area which has a contour or uneven
ground level this could result in a huge puddle in the lower
area. When torrential rain fell in a long period of time, the
volume of the puddle can be growing so can result in flooding
in some areas are lower.
 DISCUSSION
When floods occur, a lot of community activities that
eventually interrupted. Besides flooding also can become
disease will attack humans. Some diseases that can occur
include diarrhea, dengue fever (DB), malaria, and others.
 CONCLUSION
Thus the public are expected to have a high awareness to
manage waste properly and wisely, so that the garbage problem
can be resolved. In addition, if the community has been able to
manage waste properly and wisely, then the personal and
environmental health can be maintained.
 SUGGESTION
That can be done by public to solve the problem is by
throw the garbage to it’s place. And also separate the garbage by
the type, i.e. organic and inorganic.
