According to Dan Buettner, only about 10 percent of how long the average
person lives, within certain biological limits, is dictated by our genes. The other 90
percent is dictated by our lifestyle. Besides of this argument, there is a similar idea in
“The secrets of longevity” research by Mara Kerkez. He wrote that only 35 percent
of those living well into their 90's and 100's possess the longevity gene and the other
65 percent are luck, healthy lifestyle choices, attitude after numerous studies.
Although there is a slightly ueven amount of proportion between two statement, it
can be understood that the unequal amount by 25 percent indicated the proportion
of those living well into 70’s and 90’s. Thus, both evidences illustrate the way people
live, the way how people interact with body of themselves that are the most vital
remedy to make a progress in attain the high longevity.
With regards to question that how we live in order to live life for a very long
time. The secret is that looking at the cultures around the world that are actually
experiencing longevity, areas where people are living to age 100 at rates up to 10
times greater than we are, areas where the life expectancy is an extra dozen years,
the rate of middle age mortality is a fraction of what it is in this country such as
island of Sardinia in Italia and Okinawa of Tokyo (How to live to be 100+,
Dan Buettner). To be more specific, we might to have a plant-based diet, full of
vegetables, bulbs, beans, drinking enough water, avoiding overeating as well. More
over, we should take more regular exercise instead of spending hours watching TV
and sitting in one place. As Dan Buettner mentioned, if we do not have time to take
the exercise, we can make ourselves more bustling by doing the family matters or
simply cleaning the garden so as to burn the calories. One important strategy is that
we should have more good relationships to socialize and significant limits to
disadvantage relationships towards the way we live actively. It is evidenced that “If
your three best friends are obese there is a 50 percent better chance that you'll be
overweight”, conducted by Framingham Studies.
