Course Description:

This course deals with the knowledge and skills in developing, evaluating and in the application of learning
media appropriate to their teaching strategies and methodology. Specifically, the course deals with
discussion and analysis of the different models relative to the use of conventional and modern educational
technology in teaching. Emphasis is also given to the topics on instructional innovations such as the use of
computer and wave-based learning and on line education with the end goal of facilitating and fostering a
meaningful effective teaching learning process.

General Objectives: At the end of the semester, the students may able to:

1. Explain the background, issues and trends in educational technology.


2. Trace the evolution and development of ICT in Education.
3. Design and develop various types of instructional learning media.
4. Discuss the ethical practice in technology based learning using appropriate technological process and
resources.
5. Produce and evaluate the educational media resources for effective teaching-learning process.
