Part Design – 3D Parts: - Features- Extrude, Extrude cut, Start and End
Conditions, Fillet, Chamfers, Revolve, Revolve cut, Patterns(linear & circular),
Rib, Shell, Draft, Sweep Boss/Base, Sweep cut, Hole Wizard, Thread, Loft
Boss/Bass, Loft Cut, Boundary Boss/Base, Boundary Cut. Creation of Curves -
Helix, spiral, curves through xyz points etc.., With exercise

Assembly Design :- Introduction to Assembly, Top Down Approach and

Bottom Up Approach, Mates with examples, Assembly Creation using Top -Down
Approach, Assembly Creation Using Bottom Up Approach with examples. Move ,
Rotate Components, Advanced Mates, Mechanical Mates, Interference Detection,
Collision Detection, Mass Properties, Explode View, Bill of Materials, Assembly
Features, Workbook Exercises.

Drafting :- Introduction to Drafting, Generative Drafting and Interactive

Drafting , First angle of Projection, sheet Format, Title Block, Sheet size and
Scale. View Creation tools - Model views, standard three views. Dimensioning
Views using Model Items, Projected Views, auxiliary View, Isometric views
Section View creation, Broken Out section view and Break view. Annotations -
Smart Dimensions, Model Items, Tolerance and surface finishing symbols, Bill of
Material, Automatic Ballooning, Magnetic lines with exercise.
