 WATER WASTAGE IN THE LPU

​In the labs:

● Running water during the practical session in

the labs.

● Continuously running of tap water while

washing the glasswares .

● Leaking of the pipes which goes through basin.

 In the hostels:

● ​ e take the showers for the long time which

make the water to waste.

● The common taps are not closed by the

hostelers through which the water gets wasted.

● The pipes get leaked sometimes.

● More water is available for bathing than the

drinking.

● At the time of laundry and cleaning of utensils

there is continuous running of the water​.
During agriculture and watering:

● Irrigating the crops more than enough leads to

wasting of the water.

● Watering the plants in excess leads to water

logging and ultimately in water wasting.

● Some plants are water absorbable which bring

down the water table.
 METHODS FOR PREVENTING WASTAGE OF
WATER:

● C​lose the running taps while not in use.

● Stopping the leaking of the pipes by
maintaining them on the regular basis.
● We should not take take shower for long time.
● While growing the crops the drip irrigation
method must be used for preventing the loss of
water and water logging.
● While doing the laundry the 2-3 hostelers
clothes can be washed at the same time, this
step helps in minimize the water wastage.
● The plants should not be watered
unnecessarily and excessively,rather they must
be watered enough to make them grow.

THE WATER MUST BE USED

JUDICIOUSLY SO THAT IT DIDN’T GET
WASTED.
