Victims of

other Crimes

If you are a victim of theft or cheating

Immediately notify any details regarding theft or cheating with the local police.
Don't forget to get report of theft issued by the police.
And also, don't forget to cancel or lock all credit cards, ATM cards or travelers
cheques.

If you are a victim of kidnapping or terrorism

Calmly seek to escape or inform the nearest Vietnamese Representative or your


family in Vietnam to contact the Consular Department located in the host country,
the Consular Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to guide the Representive
Office for handling.

What can the Office do to help you?


Contact your relatives and friends in Vietnam to inform what incident that
happened to you. 
Ask the local police to rescue you.
Help transfer ransom to you from relatives and friends in Vietnam through the
Citizen Protection Fund.

lanhsuvietnam.gov.vn) to inform the Consular Department (by email
address: cls.mfa@mofa.gov.vn ) and overseas Vietnamese Representatives office
to know how to request and take measures to help.
