Summary
I am a junior in high school, and I have had ex perience in leadership through the band program at my school, where I
am a section leader. I have ex perience working with children, both at my church, in the nursery, Sunday school
programs, and vacation bible school, along with babysitting kids outside of church. I am good at multi-tasking,
whether it is taking care of the three children I babysit, ages 7, 5, and 2, or playing music in band, where I have to pay
attention to my band teacher conducting, what notes are on the page, what the tempo is, what the key signature is,
etc. Both band and babysitting also require attention to detail. I have to make sure that the kids I babysit are safe and
getting along at all times, just as I have to make sure I am playing the correct notes and rhythm in band. W hen the
kids I babysit are arguing, or can't agree on something, I have to problem-solve in order to come up with a compromise
that they agree to. I am a hard-worker, and am determined to succeed, whether it is in band, school, life, or even
something as small as playing a board game with my family. I enjoy reading, photography, and writing. I have
participated in many volunteer events and community service outreaches through my church, whether it was planting
flowers at a care facility, cleaning up parks, serving food, or playing bingo with the residents at a care facility
(Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens).

I have babysat for many families in my church, a few of which I babysit infrequently, once every three to six months,
but the family I babysit for regularly, once or twice a month, has a seven-year-old, a five-year-old, and a two-year-old.
Most of the time, I watch them and play with them, but I also cook dinner for them if I am there in the evening, wash
dishes, and change diapers when necessary.

Nanny June 2019 - August 2019

This summer, I will be taking a nanny job, where I will be babysitting a seven-year-old girl from 8 am to 3 pm,
Monday, W ednesday, and Friday. I found out it from my dad, and was able to call the girl's mother to receive details
about the job and what it entails.

Hobbies & Interests

I love reading, and have ever since I was young. Recently, I have started writing short stories, which I really enjoy, as it
is a great creative outlet and way to ex press my feelings. This year, I am taking a photography class, which was not
my first choice, but I really enjoy it now, and even take pictures for fun, outside of class. Another hobby of mine is
baking, whether it is cookies, brownies, or cakes. I enjoy the methodical process of it, but also the reward that is the
smiles and happiness I bring to others who taste my baked goods.
