How I Was Intrigued by Reading

A really good book can easily impact a newly discovered interest in an individual’s life.

For instance, finding a certain novel that really lures you into it and fascinates your mind after

every minute of reading it. As a young child, the first book to ever arouse my curiosity in reading

was a book written by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. His book introduced a touching story about a

fond relationship between a young boy and a stray puppy which he later names Shiloh. The

heartwarming story heavily attracted my attention to reading because this was the time I first

started to pay more consideration into what i read. I paid attention to different categories of

books, I was able to find my personal preference of a book type, and engaged in finding the

details, like character analysis and a good plot. I first read Marty’s and Shiloh’s story when I

bought the book in 5th grade and it was my most-favored book as a young child. Finding a great

book that fits into your personal preference is a great way to learn about the joys of reading.

I am very appreciative of the education I was fortunate in receiving, for that reason, I was

able to know what it feels like to be intrigued into reading. My prefered genre of reading would

be intensity, drama and especially mystery. In addition to that, horror fiction can also really keep

me amused for hours. In view of the fact that it is indeed evident to find your interest in what you

read, it can be considered a bit arduous to choose just one book to label it as your favorite, as the

array of good books in the world can be endless. The feeling of being intrigued by an enigmatic

novel secures my mind into a world of illusory. The feeling is astounding and can inspire your

creativity as you mentally grow overtime.

Besides allowing your knowledge to progress with the help of reading, it also adds to

your self expression. The moment you are letting your thoughts go while reading a good book is

the moment you begin to feel relief from the world if you are perhaps going through a rough

time. A suggested coping method would be taking a trip to the library and exploring until you

find your desired genre. Book Fairs were an all time favorite event when attending elementary

school. Although assignments that required reading books were opportunities to read, the thought

of being able to choose my favored type of book made reading more appealing. Not only did I

baffle my teachers with my knowledge of advanced vocabulary, but I impressed myself too. The

benefits of getting engaged to the hobby of reading allowed me to learn the value of an enduring

comprehension through my whole life until now. To have countless resources of books is a

privilege everyone should consider. I’m convinced that more people should join into the pure

pleasures of reading.
