PREFACE

As a part of the Civil Engineering Curriculum and in order to gain practical knowledge in the
field of design, we are required by our instructor to propose a project that will be entitled “Eight
Storey School Building – Manila City”. The main objective of these project was to familiarize us,
the future professionals to the different design tools and software programs to help us in our
professional career.

These project is composed of Architectural Plan, Structural Plan, Design Criteria, Load
Combination, Moment Distribution Method, Design of Beam Shear, Design of Flexural Beam and
Schedule of Beam.

In making this project, our personal knowledge and skill related to design have beam greatly
enhanced.
 DEDICATION
I dedicate this project, which I had poured my humbled effort, to my sweet and loving Father and
Mother, whose affection, love and encouragement was enough to fuel my desire to finish this
project, which I believ is a step into the world of Civil Engineering.

I also would like to Dedicate this to my sibling, whose support was of equal importance in
motivating me.

guidance which enabled me to do my best and accomplished this project.

Instructor, for supporting us in our study as well as pushing our limits to enhance our skills and
capability to finish this project.

This project have been a great challenge for every aspiring engineer, nevertheless I have
successfully conquered this challenged thanks to all the loving and caring my parents have
given me as well as the support showed by my siblings.
