Overall, this project was long and difficult, but there was a lot to learn from it.

There

were things I did right and things I struggled with. The presentation part was the toughest for me

as I am not great at presenting. I get nervous before presenting which can impact my eloquence

and composure when presenting. Keeping this in mind, I did my best to make my slides brief and

concise, studied the content, and filled index cards with pointers I could say.

I faced several challenges while attempting to create my speech. When trying to come up

with words to say, I take more time than I should which prevents me from writing things on time.

As a result of my hesitation, it took longer for me to come up with my speech. Once I had it

though, I did not practice enough and when it came to actually presenting my project, I did not

even use them all that much.

My practice presentation done in class went well. I did very well with eye contact and

explaining my points in a polite and professional way. I lost points because I presented way more

than eight minutes. On my actual presentation, I fumbled a little on my words because I was

nervous but I did a good job explaining my topic. I only went about 20 seconds over my time,

which was an improvement. The judges also seemed to enjoy learning more about my topic

which helped me out.

Next time, I would work on my time management and focus on making sure that I am

confident about my speech. That way I can ensure success in future presentations and apply what

I have learned through this project in college.
