He started writing as a teenager. At the age of 14, he was given his first guitar, shortly
after he enrolled in singing classes at Red Rock High School in Sedona (Arizona), and
played in clubs for years before his debut.
In 2000, Michelle released her first album titled Broken Bracelet, which served as a cover
letter and then signed a contract with the record company of Madonna, Maverick Records
and released her second album The Spirit Room, in August 2001. In 2002 she
collaborated with the song Without You for the group Justincase and followed with Carlos

Happy Now? "," Breathe "and" Til I Get Over You. But these are not the only outstanding
themes of his third work, "Empty Handed" is the subject with the most emotional and
psychedelic load. The string arrangement of "Sergeant Peppers" officiated at the Henson
studios, owned by David Campbell, has contributed to this. That same year she is again
nominated for the Grammy in the categories of "Best New Artist" (Best New Artist), and
"Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals" (Best Pop Collaboration).
On May 23, 2003 he married his almost 20 years with bassist Teddy Landau in Mexico.

Wire" with the song "Baby Girl". He also participated in the album "Peace Songs" with the
song "What the World Needs Now Is Love" (Jackie DeShannon) with artists like "Chantal
Kreviazuk", Avril Lavigne & Celine Dion.
Michelle's musical style is a mix of pop with rock and organic sounds, some label it as
adult alternative
In 2005 Michelle and Teddy become the parents of a girl named Owen Isabelle. But her
career does not stop there, that year she recorded the song "Life On Mars" (by David
Bowie), for the album "Gap Favorite Songs: Fall 2005" and at the end of 2005 the rumor of
a possible musical union with her friend Jessica Harp.
For 2006 the union was already a fact Michelle and Jessica Harp form a country duo
called The Wreckers, the album was released in that year, under the name Stand Still,
Look Pretty, the first single Leave The Pieces was placed in the first place of the lists of
music country in the United States and the United Kingdom, following him like simple
second the subject "My, Oh My". For the second time that year Michelle is invited by
Santana to be part of her next album "All That I Am" with the song "I'm Feeling You" but
Branch stressed that now it was not only Michelle Branch but The Wreckers, so "Harp"
participated in the song and video of it, in the choirs.
On December 4, 2007, he released "Way Back Home: Live at New York City" his second
album as The Wreckers and his first live album.
