Analysis of My Personal Teaching Experience

I have an experience of three years in teaching English for different age groups. I have
been a teacher in language schools for two years and elementary school, middle school and
gymnasium for one year.

My strengths are the ability to compile different materials and work quickly- I can
effectively grade papers, quickly compile and find materials/tests for the students and find quick
solutions to problems and time gaps, that can occur during a lesson. I am responsible and try to
make lessons interesting, while also educational.

My weaknesses are to do less with teaching but more to do with creating a space for the
students to effectively learn in. I struggle with keeping discipline, as I would like to achieve
perfect discipline and it can be challenging, whereas some teachers do not focus on discipline as
much as I do. I need perfection but not most of most of my students, therefore we have a
disagreement on that level.

I have accomplished something important for me this year- I proved to myself, that I am
able to work in a state gymnasium for a year. With some of my classes I achieved the results I
expected, with others not as much.

I want to grow as a teacher and find out, what it is, that I should more be focused on and
what is the part of teaching I am particularly good at. From there on, I could develop these skills
more and become a professional in one or two things. I still need to find the space and
environment that would fit my teaching style.
