CHICHARONG KANGKONG WITH SMOOTHIE’S
The proponents will represent Chicharong Kangkong with Smoothie’s; snacks
that is located in Prk. Pag-asa II, Brgy. Cebuano, Tupi, South Cotabato at the back
corner of the Cebuano National High School. Chicharong Kangkong with Smoothies
is combination of a healthy snacks which is a beverages and a food. The consumers
will support the local culture but will also get a healthy benefit from the smoothies at
an affordable price. Students, teachers, drivers, workers and the passer-by are the
target market of the proponents. This will also cater to those who prepare this kind of
meriendas for themselves and for their families. The proponents come up to with this
kind of business; because its’s not available in Brgy. Cebuano and also other people
who want this kind of snacks but will only find in other Barangay that is too far from
their homes.
CHAPTER 1
Introduction
. Some of these are crops, trees, plants, etc. Natural resources in the nation
can produce goods that can be introduce to acceptable goods of the country, which
can be an economic livelihood as a source of income.
Nowadays, foods had been display in food establishments that are not healthy
to eat, just like burgers, fries, and fast food products. The business is establishment
to promote of a healthy snack for a perfect merienda for the people during anytime
they want. As a Filipino and also a proponent of this product, Filipinos are very fund of
eating chicharon and palamig a perfect combination that will surely satisfy our stomach
as well as our hunger. Proponents introduce the Chicharong KangKong as a chicharon
made with Kangkong itself and paired with a beverage made with fruits found in the
province itself. Some chicharon came from fats of pigs, fats of beefs and also fats of
fishes, which is why the business is giving a new approach towards chicharon itself;
making it healthier in the eyes and palate of the people. Most vendors offer the typical
mango shake and some also uses powdered fruit flavors while ours is purely fresh and
raw fruits that can make our beverage pure and solid.
The proponents create this kind of products to encourage every individual that
even a cheap snack and drink can gain some healthy benefits on their bo Philippines

countries. The business will also be using fruits as a product beverage. Fruits normally
means the fleshy seed-associated structures of a plant that are sweet or sour, and
edible in the raw state, such as apples, bananas, grapes, lemons, oranges, and
strawberries. Fruits is one of the riches food that can be eaten by human, it can be
raw or cooked. Fruits are very rich in vitamins like vitamin c, vitamin b, potassium,
fiber, and etc. depending on the fruit itself.
The business targets to establish “a healthy snack on every one’s mouth”.
Kangkong is mainly the raw material of the product Chicharon, while fruits are the raw
materials for smoothies. The business will be establish in the province of Tupi and will
be located in front of Cebuano National High School. Proponents used a cart instead
of renting an establishment in front of the school. The stole is one of the key in which
accessibility towards the target market of the business like teachers, students, drivers,
and workers along the street of the Cebuano. It will open in

between 8;00 in the morning until 5:30 in the afternoon depending on the
demand that will show. The operation of the business will be Sunday from Saturday.
The owner of the business serves as the business manager because it is a sole
proprietorship.
The growth and flow of the demand in town for a kind of snacks is inevitably
increasing. This can attributed to the barangay Cebuano increasing population. The
business offer Chicharong KangKong and Fruit Smoothies; it establishes a different
kind of approach in which offers unique kind of Chicharon while paring with the typical
but refreshing drink. The Kangkong is segregated depending on its quality, coated with
special batter, deep fry it and wait for it until golden brown. Sauces would be the
special vinegar mix and also the sweet and sour mix. The fruits on the other hand will
be segregated depending on its quality, mix with sugar syrup, ice, evaporated milk
then blend. It is very healthy for everyone especially for kids. Customers will surely
enjoy the crunchy kind of experience paired with the tropical refreshing drink. In this
way, proponents are not just after the profit but also health and condition of the
customers. Proponent’s mission is to ensure the cleanliness and healthiness of the
product especially for those kids who are not eating vegetables; they will enjoy the
new taste and twist of the product at a very affordable price.

A. Chicharong Kangkong with Smoothies will be a sole trader or individual
entrepreneurship; the owner of the business will also the one who cooker of
the product and also who will sell to the customer. The risk is how the owner
of the business handle the problem and how she/he choose the right
path/decision and accomplish it and also the shell life of the product or the
ingredients will be use because it could be an income loss in the business.
B. Chicharong Kangkong with Smoothies there is assurance not only in the
product but also in the services offered. The cooker has the right PPE
(Personal Protective Equipment, like hairnet and apron) while
making/cooking the product. Also, the equipment or utensils that will be used
are surely clean and some are required sanitation for the safety of the
consumer and to prevent any accidents or health diseases. And this case the
owner guarantee to serve a best quality, inexpensive, and nutritious product.

from Sunday to Saturday.

The pricing of our product which is Chicharong Kangkong and Smoothies is
base on the price of raw materials and also into the ingredients. Each pack of
Chicharong Kangkong is cost of ₱12.00 while on the Smoothies is cost of ₱25.00
on each container, any change of the prices will taken into consideration of the
consumer’s capability to purchase the product.
2. Chicharong Kangkong with Smoothies is inexpensive and also it contains
healthy benefits. Its nutrition content are calcium and iron for the Kangkong
leaves while on the fruit shake, it has potassium, fiber and vitamin C. By eating
the products, it cannot also help the consumer by living a healthy lifestyle but
then it can attribute to the community increasing population. Proponents can
assure the freshness and the uniqueness of the product for the consumer
satisfaction, it adhere on the Philippine National Standard for food products and

Production
A. Kangkong is from the word chicharon. It’s Chicharong main ingredient is

vegetable which is Kangkong, substitution of pork. While the smoothie’s is a fruit
shakes that flavored with milk. Every one of us need a healthy eating habits by
eating nutritious foods that contains vitamins and minerals, we can get it in fruits
and vegetables which the major source of nutrients. Proponents brought every
individual at its delightful and nutritious snacks with the twist of fruits and
vegetables. This snack introduce this new kind of product in the market with a
twist, and filled up of nutrients in every packs or cups on it.
B. Production Process
Workflow of the process of Chicharong Kangkong
Separate the leaves from stalk.
Wash leaves and drain well.
Mix all the other ingredients in a separate bowl.
Heat it in the deep fryer.

Dip kangkong in a batter and let excess batter drip before deep-frying.
Cook until nice and crunchy.
Drain well in a kitchen towel.
Serve with any favorite dip.
Workflow of the process of Smoothie’s
Add all the ingredients in a blender.
Add 1 cup of milk.
Pulse until mixture is smooth, add more milk if desired.
Pour into a glass and drink up.

Chicharong Kangkong Procedure:
INGREDIENTS:
 1 bundle of kangkong
 1 piece of whole egg
 ½ cup all-purpose flour
 1 ¼ cup cornstarch
 1 cup cold water
 ¼ teaspoon salt
 ¼ teaspoon pepper
 Cooking oil
PROCEDURE:
1. Separate the leaves from stalk. (use stalk for other cooking)
2. Wash leaves and drain well.
3. In a mixing bowl, beat egg
4. Add cold water, cornstarch, flour, salt and pepper.
5. Whisk well.
6. Heat oil and deep fryer.

10. Serve with any favorite dip.

 1 cup frozen pineapple

 ½ medium banana
 ½ cup crushed ice
 ½ cup vanilla yogurt (or greek vanilla yogurt)
 1 ½ cups fat free milk or coconut milk
PROCEDURE:
1. Add pineapple, banana, yogurt and ice to blender.

2. Add 1 cup of the milk.
3. Pulse until mixture is smooth.
4. Add ¼ cup milk at a time if desired
5. Pour into glass and drink up.

employment and income to every individual. Also, to improve the living of the

The main goal of a certain business is to have high income especially in the

the costumers. Building up business is a great opportunity for an employed people to
have a job and having another source of income.
