I will begin the class by reading a short story and demonstrating how to write and

answer who, what, when, where, why, and how questions on the board. I will also

1. The class and I will start by writing a collective story. I will start by writing
one sentence and then pass it on this will continue until each student has
written a sentence.
2. We will have a campfire set up( I will turn out the lights and I will tell the
story while the students sit around me.)
3. After I read the story student's will have a worksheet where they create 4
questions pertaining to the story and have 4 answers for those questions.
Instructional 4. As they form each question and response they will follow each step of
Activities making a s'more.
{Ex. Once a student has completed a question and answer they will get the
two graham cracks for the smore. Once they have completed another
question and answer they will get a marshmallow, and so on and so forth.}
*I will thoroughly assist any student who doesn’t understand until they grasp
the materiel.
*For students who don’t like or can’t eat smores they will complete a color by
numbers worksheet in steps just like we did the s’more activity.
I have a student with a hearing impairment in my classroom. For the student I will
Accommodations print the directions and lyrics to the song and I will make sure the student
understands the directions.
We will watch an educational sing along pertaining to the subject while we eat out
Closure Activity smores.
Assessments The questions they completed during the activity is the assessment.

I love the creativity in this lesson plan! I think the campfire idea is something you could actually do in your
internship--maybe verbal Q&A after a story you read aloud, since it's kindergarten?? Very nice job with this! --
