Easter for RHS

Students different traditions to celebrate the holiday, Easter.

April 21st marks a very important day in the calendar for Christians- it
is Easter day Easter is a holiday that celebrates Jesus’s return from the
dead. When many people think of Easter, they think of the typical fun
candies and the Easter bunny, but there are some other household
traditions that people participate in on this holiday. We also wanted a
glimpse of how people view this day and what it means to them.

Some families, like senior Samantha Tanner's family, partake in traditions


like finding eggs and spending time with family
“We find Easter eggs sometimes, and we get a basket and go out
with our family for dinner,” Tanner said.

Leading up to Easter, lots of families including Vincent Hansell


celebrate by decorating eggs and taking part in lent.
“I participate in lent and decorate easter eggs with my family,” Hansell
said.

Sophomore George Pecar enjoys easter by going to a family


members house and leading up he attends church.

“We just attend church,” Pecar said. “On Easter we go over to my family’s
house.”

Falcons celebrate Easter in many different ways, and their traditions


are not just eating peeps and chocolate bunnies. They instead reflect
Easter’s true meaning.
