Family Rituals
Write about a family ritual you remember from when you were younger.
Hi! My name is Jesus and Im from Mexico. Actually, I dont remember a
specific family ritual, I mean, my family dont have a special celebration for
our birthdays or something like that. So Ill talk about what we do at
Christmas, because from my point of view that day is most celebrated by
my family, even more than the Independence day or our birthdays.
First of all, Im going to explain you why this day is so significant to my
family. As we know, Christmas is an important date for all Catholics because
its supposed to be the day that Jesus was born. That reason is strong
enough to my family, because they are strongly religious. In fact, since I
have memory, all my family, even my cousins and uncles that live far away,
come to my house in order to celebrate this religious party.
I can say that best part of the day is dinner time. The main reason is
because at that time my family put over the table all the food they bring
with them, from the most traditional, such as turkey or romeritos, to all
kind of desserts. After that we just spend some minutes to take care of the
Baby Jesus and sing religious songs.
