Soccer

DRILLS:
 2 vs 2 – finding space, offensive and defensive
 1 vs 1 – focusses on defence
 4 vs 4 – focuses on movement and space
 Rotating defenders – offense getting ball from one
side of the field to the other while a defender is
trying to get ball off opposition
 Offensive shooting – while offense shoots ball
defence interferes and redirect ball
 2 on 2 support – where 2 defender close in on the
to attackers (pressure)
 Box defence – where offence has ball and 2
players are closing in player with the ball needs to
either push out or find a player in free space
 Defend the gate – defender passes ball to the
opposition and immediately closes them down
when they have no one to pass to the defender
take the ball dribbles to the goal and shoots
 Horizontal defence – offence stands at the half
way line will dribble and 2 defenders will come
from either side offense has to try and find free
space or find a player in free space
