Biography:
Her full name is Lauren Michelle Jauregui
Morgado, she’s a Cuban-American singer and
songwriter. She was born on June 27, 1996 in
Miami, Florida to Michael Jauregui and Clara
Morgado, who are both from Cuba and moved to
the United States when Fidel Castro came to
power. She attended Carrollton School of Sacred
Heart since 7th grade, where she participated in
softball team and talent show.
In 2012, at the age of 16, she auditioned for the
second season of the The X Factor USA with the
song "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. As
failing in the round of boot camp, she was
brought back alongside Ally, Normani, Dinah
Jane, and Camila, who were put together and
formed as a group by Simon Cowell. The group, later named Fifth Harmony, went on to
finish third in the competition. Rising to prominence by social media, the group's debut
extended play and their three studio albums all charted within the top ten of the Billboard
200 in the United States.
