Subject Switch off FRThrHoSupport for iBSCV6.20.614
Problem Description:

The new function of quality and load based FR/HR handover is prohibited in iBSCV6.20.614C. The new
function is controlled by the switch of FRThrHoSupport. The earlier versions have the function of
FRThrHoSupport, but the switch to control the function is useless. Hence, it is necessary to disable the
function by the switch after upgrading to iBSCV6.20.614C so that the function of quality and load based
FR/HR handover will not be enabled.
Application Scope:

This problem exists in iBSC6.20.614 version serials.

Consequence:

The function of quality and load based FR/HR handover will lead to frequent handover in cells with heavy

traffic, which then results in high CPU load of the MP, and even leads to MP handover.

Temporary Solution:

Set the parameter FR/AMR FR and FR/AMR HR support (FRThrHoSupport) to No.
