Comments Deck slab design & drawing:

01. While calculating “a”, distance shall be taken from nearest support.
02. Spacing of bars calculated for intermediate spans does not reflects in drawing. Spacing for bar
mark 2,2a & 4 shall be reduced to 190mm as per design calculations.
03. Bar mark 2b seems unnecessary as bar mark 2a can be continued till the end for simplicity.
04. Calculation of additional reinforcement (Edge stiffening) to take into account skew effect shall be
added in the design note.
05. Clear cover in drawing & design note is not matching & shall be corrected.
06. Punching shear check shall be added in the design note.

Comments on P14 Foundation & substructure design & drawings (Applicable to P11, P12, and P13 also):

01. Levels are not mentioned anywhere in the drawings.

02. “Horizontal Wind Pressure on Live Load, max speed of 36m”, this speed is Vz (Hourly mean speed).
Accordingly calculations shall be revised.
03. While computing CD drag coefficient from table 13 of IRC 6, CD shall be derived for height to breadth
ratio of 40. Calculations shall be revised accordingly.
04. Stability check shall be provided.
05. Horizontal stirrups provided for pedestal in drawing does not indicate 6 layers as mentioned in
the drawing.
06. 12 dia. 2 legged, 10 layers stirrups for seismic arrestors is not clear in the drawing.
