3D Character Design
Using Tinkercad

You’ll use your character that you designed in Illustrator, and

animated in Adobe Animate, and create a 3D version of that
character using Tinkercad. We will be 3D printing a miniature
version of your character using our 3D printer.

STEP 1
Create an account with tinkercad.com

STEP 2
“Create a new design” in Tinkercad

- using shapes, try to start with the body shape of your character
(the base)

- You can draw and create organic shapes and details using
Scribble

- DO NOT use preset shapes like the astrobot or the chick foot!

- You MAY use something like glasses as an accessory, but your

character must be your own creation and not made from preset
objects.



! Remember, you can paint details onto your character once it’s
printed, to add colour, as our printer will print it completely white.
