Tinkercad is a browser-based 3D design and modeling tool that allows users to create 3D

designs using a simple and intui9ve interface. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use
Tinkercad for 3D design:

1. Create an Account: Visit the Tinkercad website (www.9nkercad.com) and sign up for
a free account. If you already have an account, log in to access the design interface.

2. Start a New Design: Once you're logged in, click on the "Create New Design" buLon
to start a new project.

3. Interface Overview: Familiarize yourself with the Tinkercad interface. The design
canvas is where you'll create your 3D models, and the toolbar on the right provides
various tools and shapes to work with.

4. Add Basic Shapes: Tinkercad provides a library of basic shapes that you can use as
building blocks for your designs. On the right toolbar, click on the "Shapes" buLon to
access the shape library. Drag and drop a shape onto the canvas to add it to your
design.

5. Manipulate and Transform Objects: Select an object on the canvas by clicking on it.
Once selected, you can manipulate and transform the object using the blue handles
that appear around it. Resize, rotate, and move objects to create your desired design.

6. Group and Combine Objects: To create more complex designs, you can group and
combine mul9ple objects together. Select the objects you want to combine by
holding the ShiV key and clicking on them. Right-click on the selec9on and choose
"Group" or "Combine" to merge the objects into a single en9ty.

7. Modify Object ProperDes: Tinkercad allows you to modify the proper9es of objects.
With an object selected, you can change its color, transparency, size, and other
parameters using the op9ons available in the right sidebar.

8. Add Custom Shapes: In addi9on to the basic shapes, you can also create your own
custom shapes using the "Shape Generators" tool. Click on the "Shape Generators"
buLon in the right toolbar to access a collec9on of predefined shape generators or
create your own using code.
9. Import and Export: Tinkercad supports impor9ng and expor9ng designs. To import
an exis9ng design, click on the "Import" buLon and select the file you want to
import. To export your design, click on the "Export" buLon and choose the desired
format (STL, OBJ, etc.).

10. Save and Share: Make sure to save your design regularly by clicking on the "Save"
buLon. Tinkercad automa9cally saves your progress, but it's a good prac9ce to save
manually as well. You can also share your designs with others by clicking on the
"Share" buLon and providing the generated link.

11. Learn and Explore: Tinkercad offers various tutorials and resources to help you learn
and explore different aspects of 3D design. Check out their "Learn" sec9on to access
guided lessons and projects.

That's a basic overview of how to use Tinkercad for 3D design. As you become more
comfortable with the tool, you can explore advanced features and techniques to create
more intricate designs.
