Unit 1 of the Grade 8 Integrated Science deals with Force, Motion and Energy.

The unit is

with 4 activities)Module 1 and 2 deals with the effects of energy in the macroscopic level while
the last four modules tackles the effects of force at the particle level. Module 1 – focuses on the
idea that if an unbalanced force acts on an object, the motion of the objectwill change.Module 2 -
picks up this idea and explains how the application of force can do work on an object with
corresponding transfer of energy.Module 3 – describes the effects of heat on objects involved
