TITLE: Lead Hadoop Developer This is the Lead Hadoop Platform Tool Developer for the Global Data 
Insights and Analytics (GDI&A) skill team. The Lead Hadoop Developer will be responsible for designing, 
developing and implementing solutions for Hadoop Data lake to support landing, Ingestion and security. 
Additionally the Lead Developer will serve as the Technical Anchor to guide and coordinate with junior 
developers. Responsibilities: •Design and build solutions for Ford’s Hadoop data lake environment 
•Develop prototypes to validate interactions and prove product designs •Collaborate with cross‐
functional teams to define, design, and create solutions •Provide Level Technical Anchor support to 
Junior Developers •Lead Technical conversations and Product Demos •Collaborate with cross‐functional 
teams to define, design, and create solutions •Interface with Business IT and business owners to 
prioritize improvement efforts •Work with Product Managers to document user stories and features 

Skills Required: 

3+ years of experience in software development (Java) •3+ years of experience in Hadoop (Hive, Ranger, 
HBase, Kafka, HDFS or Spark) •2+ years of experience working in agile based delivery teams 

Skills Preferred: 

7+ years of experience in software development (Java) •Data modeling and database design concepts 
(Oracle , SQL) •Test driven development experience •Development experience using Spring API •Pivotal 
Cloud Foundry experience •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Team Lead experience 
•Motivated and self‐starter 

Experience Required:
