Write a short paragraph about what you believe is the overall theme or purpose of the book,
including the main idea and moral that the author has put forth through the events.

All of us have different fear and don't let the fear make you down and be strong. Like Lise
did, even she was afraid to the ocean she tried to save Ben. Now, she become matured, her
opinions and viewpoint change. In our real life situations sometimes we have problems and we
afraid of it but we need to conquer it because problem is not for a life time. Sometimes we afraid
to try but then we should think that trying is best way to have courage and determination of the
things you want. The theme of this book is learning to cope with changes in your life.

D. Evaluation
Your opinion of the book
This novel is a tragic yet pleasant book for everyone. It can gives spiritual and
intellectual value to the readers. The author also really showed the feelings of all the characters.
Even though Free didn’t talk, I was still really able to understand what he was feeling. I like the
author’s good emotional description about Lise’s fear of the ocean and how she is nervous about
all the creatures in it. I definitely recommend this book because it is very good with explaining
everything and some kids will really relate to this story especially all of us.
