To promote the welfare of the University of Mines and Technology and establish a mutually beneficial

relationship between the University and its alumni.

To act as an effective link between the public and the University.

To establish a medium by which members of the Association will offer meaningful contributions and
assistance towards the progress of their alma mater.

To establish and promote academic and social brotherhood among its members as well as the staff and
students of the University by organizing symposia, lectures, seminars, and other social activities, and

To establish and maintain a central fund from which assistance to the university including special
research grants and bursaries to students and alumni could be given.

Foster the spirit of brotherhood and comradeship among the alumni of the University

Disburse scholarships to the outstanding students of various disciplines of PU

Raise funds for various welfare and other schemes in the University as approved by the Association

Provide a forum for the alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day

Look after the general interests of the alumni of the University

Bring out publication for the fulfillment of the objectives of the Association

Arrange social and cultural functions

Open branches of Association in various parts of the country and across the world, and

Perform all other acts in furtherance of the objectives of the Association.
