Team Contract

Broad Team Goals:

● Creating a product that satisfies the client

● Presenting our data and research effectively

Measurable Team Goals:

● Finishing project within the given time

● Meeting all soft deadlines with acceptable work

Personal Goals:

Sahar (Project Manager): Improving my teamwork and leadership skills

Jon: Creating a project I am not ashamed to present

Maha: Having a productive and friendly team experience

Ahmad: Improve writing and visual design skills

Individual Commitment:

All members are willing and able to put in 100% effort. Time is not an issue; therefore, it

should not be a problem we will have to address.

Other Concerns:

● Ahmad is worried that his writing skills may need some work.

● Prioritizing this class due to summer schedules

Conflict Resolution:

If we experience conflict that is not resolved within 30 minutes of respectful discussion of

the points, we will present both sides to the instructor and ask him to decide.

Missed Deadlines:

If a team member misses a deadline, the project manager will send a “gentle reminder”

and be given a flexible 12 hours to finish/fix the work he/she was assigned to. This is in order to

give the project manager an ample amount of time to turn in the “fixed” work.
Unacceptable Work:

If a team member turns in unacceptable work (e.g., leaves out important information, not

doing the work that was agreed upon, major errors, leaves out important information, clearly did

not put in effort into the work agreed), other team members will constructively criticize the given

person’s work, and point out the necessary requirements to fix the assignment.

- If unacceptable work is turned in:

- First offence: That member will be given a warning

- Second offence: Other team members have the right to discuss matters with the

professor.

- Third offence: The team will hold a voting discussion on whether or not to kick

out the member.
