Statement of Purpose (taken from current mission statement)

In keeping with our mission to develop educational tours and materials about the
Old Pine Street Church historic graveyard and the building’s architecture, the OPC
will develop and implement the following educational programs:

Statement of objectives that reflect “big ideas”: core understandings and take aways
for various audiences (TBD by Trustees)*

For each “big idea” develop programs that:

- Share information/facts/ of patriots buried in Old Pine Street Church
graveyard
- Share narratives surrounding particular patriots
- Share narratives whose stories are of interest to participants’ age/interest
- For each program, create evaluation tool

Creation of Action Plan:

What:
1-Creation of Statement of Purpose (emphasizing the goal to make our
history relevant and real through interpretation/interactions)
2-Compilation of narratives/stories (reconnect with Mike Adams for
graduate student help)
3-Creation of template for adult tour program
4-Creation of lesson template for student audience
5- Touch base with local schools
