Hypothesis testing: t test Name: Vishwajeet Rane

Research Objective:
To find out whether pervasive computing is useful for recruitment.

Hypothesis Testing: CHI SQUARE test.

Procedure:-
Step 1: Stating the Hypothesis.
Null Hypothesis: Work life does not exist in the IT industry

i.e. H0: µ(C) = µ(WLB) (Where, C-Companies,WLB-Work Life Balance)

Alternate Hypothesis: Work life does exist in the IT industry

i.e. H0: µ(C) = µ(WLB) (Where, C-Companies,WLB-Work Life Balance)

Step 2: Selection of appropriate test of significance: CHI square test (χ2).

Step 3: Choose desired level of significance: α= 0.05

Step 4: Calculate value of ‘p’

Used EXCEL Function: = CHITEST(actual_range, expected_range), which returned p value as bellow:

p=0.639460711

Step 5: Conclusion/Result
Reject H1 at 5% level of significance as the value of p<=0.05.Select H0.
