BUP invites application from potential candidates for Master of Peace, Conflict and Human
Rights Studies (MPCHRS) under the Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS).

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

• A bachelor’s degree (Hons) from any discipline with at least 2nd Class/CGPA 2.5 (on a scale of
4.0).
• Candidates without honors (in case of having pass course degree) must have minimum 07 years
of service in their related field of experiences
• Candidates of pass courses not having required field service experiences must have a masters
degree from any discipline.
• Candidates from armed forces, law enforcement agencies, NGOs, Social sciences, Political
sciences, International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies background are highly
encouraged.
ADMISSION SCHEDULE

• Application Submission By 14 August, 2019

• Publication of Viva-voce schedule on BUP website (www.bup.edu.bd): To be notified through website and
SMS
• Class Commences : 06 September, 2019

PROCEDURES FOR APPLICATION

• Step 1: Deposit Application Processing Fee. Taka 1000.00 (One Thousand) only must be
deposited at any Trust Bank Branch to “DEAN, FSSS, BUP” A/C number 0028-0310041726.
Mention the trace number and deposition date in application form (Please get Trace ID from the
bank and endorse it in serial number 13 of application form).
• Step 2: Filling Up Application Form. Application Form can be downloaded from the
“Admission > Apply for Masters Program”, link of BUP website: www.bup.edu.bd or can be
collected from the Department of Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies office Room No:
1315, 13th Floor, Academic Block, BUP.

• Step 3: Application Submission. Application must be submitted to Department of Peace,

Conflict and Human Rights Studies office Room No: 1315, 13th Floor, Academic Block Or
Applicants can submit the scanned Application Form by email to mpchrs.bup@gmail.com by
14 August 2019 (In such case, applicants are requested to bring original copy of filled up
application form along with necessary documents during viva-voce).

DOCUMENTS NEEDED

• Documents to be attached with Application Form

➢ Photocopy of Certificate and Marks Sheet of SSC/Equivalent Examination.

➢ Photocopy of Certificate and Marks Sheet of HSC/Equivalent Examination.

➢ Photocopy of Certificate and Marks Sheet of Bachelor Degree.

➢ Photocopy of Certificate and Marks Sheet of Masters Degree (if any).

➢ Photocopy of National ID Card.

➢ Certificate of working experience

Documents to be carried during Viva-voce

Candidates need to bring the following documents (both original and attested photocopies)
during viva-voce, failure of which will be considered as unfit for interview:

➢ Admit Card.

➢ Bank Money Deposit Slip (original).

➢ Certificate and Marks Sheet of SSC/Equivalent Examination.

➢ Certificate and Marks Sheet of HSC/Equivalent Examination.

➢ Certificate and Marks Sheet of Bachelor Degree.

➢ Certificate and Marks Sheet of Masters Degree (if any).

➢ National ID Card.
