for Movers & Flyers

Movers https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/images/153612-yle-handbook-for-teachers.pdf

For the first week of the course, clearly explain the test structure to the students as you
progress through the parts.
the first thing to do is to explain that there will be 4 assesed parts of the test.
Part 1: Find the differences
Part 2: Telling a simple story
Part 3: Odd One Out
Part 4: Personal Questions

For part 1, Tell the students that they will be given 2 pictures that look the same but there are
some differences. The idea of this part is for the students to identify what is different between
picture 1 and picture 2.
Typically in a test, the student will be asked to identify 4 differences.

In practice: Teach the structure of the expected language to do this part. a few examples to
follow….
eg.. In picture 1, the car is red but in picture 2, it is Yellow
( bring notice to the subject change to improve fluency)

In picture 1, there is a cat on the table but in picture 2, there is a dog on the table
` ( when the subject cat and dog are the difference then we should use there is/are)

In picture 1, the cat in on the table but in picture 2, th cat is on the floor
( when the cat has not changed then we use the cat in both different sentences)
