Supra SAE India, 26th of June to the 02nd of July 2017

Force Ikshvaku, the Supra team of NIE participated in the SAE India Supra 2016 competition
at the Bhuddh International Circuit, from the 26th of June to 1st of July, 2017. The weeklong event
required teams to present their vehicles and designs to certified judges. The vehicles are tested to
validate its design, its marketability and test its performance on-track. Each vehicle is required to pass
a technical scrutiny where half the teams are disqualified; egress, noise, tilt and brake tests to qualify
for the dynamic events which are the acceleration test, skid-pad, auto-cross and finally a long
endurance run to which only a handful of teams qualified. The team completed all tasks with aplomb
and participated in the final round in which only a handful of teams qualify. The team also won 2nd
place in the Business Presentation Event.
