“Understanding the customer acceptability for sustainability products with little extra cost”

Statement About the Problem


This study will analyse customer behaviour towards “Green Products” which will come at the
cost of little higher pricing than the regular products available in market. This research is aimed
at analysing customer acceptance and behaviour towards the issues which are not directly
related to them but relates to the society as a whole.

Also This research will help us find the information available to the customer on the “Green
Products” which can be replacement for the traditional products which are Non-biodegradable
and bad for the nature.

This report will also help us understand the customers perception towards the organizations
which promotes the use of “Green Product” as a part of their business.

Why is the Topic Chosen ?


This Topic was chosen to analyse the future business potentials available in terms of
sustainable products and the customer readiness to pay little extra price for the products which
are nature friendly. Also the consumer perception towards the contribution to the nature by an
individual.

Expected Contribution From The Study ?


The Study will help find the scope of introducing the sustainable products in the market which
would be little costlier than traditional products. We will also find the product segmentation
,Target and positioning possibilities of the product.

This study will also help find out the market mix for the different products in terms of B to C or B
to B market.
Objective and Scope of Study
Objective behind conducting this study is to find the market for the unconventional sustainable
products which are not in use in today's scenario due to their non-availability because of the
higher production cost but are good for the nature.

1) Study the customer readiness to pay higher price for “Green Products”
2) Find the possibilities of introducing sustainable products to market.
3) Which are the prospect customers available in the market for these products.
4) Consumer behaviour towards the organizations which promote use of sustainable
products.

Scope
My study will be confined to find the customer perception towards contributing to nature by
using products which are eco-friendly but comes at little higher cost than the products available
in the market.Also the products on which we will seek customer opinion would be those used in
day to day life.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology in a way is a written game plan for conducting research. Research

methodology has many dimensions. It includes not only the research methods but also

considers the logic behind the methods used in the context of the study and complains why only

a particular method of technique has been used.

There are basically two techniques adopted for obtaining information:

RESEARCH DESIGN:- ​The research design will be used in this study is both ‘Descriptive’ and

‘exploratory’.

DATA COLLECTION METHODS:


The data will be collected using both by primary data collection methods as well as secondary

sources.

Primary Data:​ Most of the information will be gathered through primary sources. The methods

that will be used to collect primary data are:

1. Questionnaire
2. Interview

Secondary Data: ​The secondary data will be collected through:

● Text Books
● Magazines
● Journals
● Websites

METHOD USE TO PRESENT DATA​:

Data Analysis & Interpretation – Classification & tabulation transforms the raw data collected

through questionnaire in to useful information by organizing and compiling the bits of data

contained in each questionnaire i.e., observation and responses are converted in to

understandable and orderly statistics are used to organize and analyze the data:

● Calculating the percentage of the responses.


● Formula used = (no. of responses ​/ ​total responses) * 100

Sample Size​: 100

Universe​ refers to the total of the units in field of inquiry. Our universes will all the peoples

those are using services of Southall Travel.

METHOD OF SAMPLING:

​The technique used for conducting the study will convenience sampling technique as sample of

respondents will be chosen according to convenience.
