“I NEVER LOST LOVE”

They met. They fell in love. They dated. They broke up.

Relationships don't always last forever. There were always reasons for one to break up. In
Mile's case, there really wasn't any reason for Trevor to break up with him. Trevor had told him
countless times that he was perfect. For so long that he actually believed it. Then why? Why
would he just get up one morning and say it was over. They had been together for six years. 6
bloody years and it was then he decided to break up? There wasn't even any room for argument
because the next day he was gone.

Mile never understood. Every time he got home, the emptiness killed him. Every single
time. Standing in front of his mirror as he got prepared for work, he ran a hand through is short
brown hair then adjusted the collar of his blue checkered shirt. He wore that with a not so tight
black jeans which he only wore for presentations. He kept it for those kind of days because the
jeans gave him kind of hormone that attracted both the men and women in his office. Which also
led to his brilliant ideas being used.

Mile tucked in his shirt then smiled at his composed figure. Today was the day they were
seeing the new boss and everyone had to look good for whoever it was. No one from his office
could even guess how he would look like. He picked up his brief case, did one last look at him
self and when he was sure he looked hot, he left the house to his fabulous black Audi.

Mile was the Managing Director who handled almost everything in the company. His
roles were big and he knew just when the company went bankrupt. He had to call old costumers
to ask if they would want more of their products but they all turned him down.
This went on for a whole month and he was sure he was going to get fired. However, the
old boss didn't even try to remove him but decided to sell the company. It was a big move but
everyone was right behind him. Bankruptcy isn't someone any company wants to be in.

Mile smiled at receptionist and he smiled back. "How is your morning going, Gabriel?" He
asked.

"Good. New boss would be here in a second. Cannot wait to meet him." He said then glanced at
the revolving door. He grinned suddenly then said, "Well, would you look at that. There he is
now."

Mile turned to see a man coming out of a black Range Rover. He had dark brown hair
that you could almost call black and he didn't dress like he was made of money. A simple dark
blue shirt with a black jeans and a jacket. He had a scarf on and he held a Star bucks coffee in
one hand.

He stalked into the building and Mile's heart shuddered when he saw clearly who he was.
Those Hazel nut eyes, small nose, thin lips. It was all just there like how he had left him. Sure,
he grew a little more hair on his face but who hasn't. Even Mile had.

Mile didn't want to think of the situation he was in because he would just explode into
tears. Quickly, he turned and moved fast into the elevator that was gladly open.

Sighing when the door closed, he fell to the floor as his mind raced back to the break up
scene. The scene played continuously that whole day. Even when the boss came to introduce
himself, Mile could only see him saying the few words that changed his life.

I think we should break up. I think we should break up. I think we should break up. I think we
should break up. I think we should break up. When Mile got home that day, he cried because for
the first time in a long time, he was in love again. And with the same man. Now that he thinks
about it, he never really stopped.

It has been two months since the new boss became The boss. The company was back up
and with Mile's professional help, they were making money like water. Mile's been able to cope
mostly because Trevor hadn't thought of bringing up their relationship. It was awkward during
the first month. Mile was always tiptoeing around him. Hoping he doesn't get noticed but when
they finally met, Trevor acted like he didn't know him.

At first, Mile almost died of an heart attack. How could he forget him? It was a whole six
years. How could he forget six years of their life together? Then he hated him. Telling himself
there wasn't any love there. Trevor never loved him. How could he when he couldn't remember
him? With that thought in him all day, he was able to work with him for the two months.

"Hey Mile, boss wants to see you in his office. Said you should come with the papers you
are working on." Dennise, Trevor sectary called from the door. Mile nodded then picked up his
work and walked quickly to his office.

Trevor was staring out the window with a Star bucks coffee in his hand. Mile began now
since the man wasn't looking at him, "I've made contact with the company's director and it seems
they are very interested. I'm just keeping my notes together for when they would call for a
meeting." Trevor snickered, "You seem to like this job."

Mile raised his eyebrow suspiciously and asked, "What do you mean?" Trevor turned to
him and smiled. He dropped the coffee then moved away from the desk to stand in front of him.
His smile slowly melted into a grim and he said, "Mile, I'm sorry."

"What?" He asked confused as he took a step back. "I'm saying I'm sorry for breaking up
with you." Mile knew he was going to have a heart attack soon. His heart was beating too fast.
He could hardly control it. Trevor knew about them this whole time. To Mile, he had no idea if
that was a good news or not."You knew this whole time?"

"I thought that I should finally admit it." He said sadly. "What?" Mile said confused and
frustrated.

"Me, breaking up with you was stupid. I wanted so badly to come back but I had an
accident."

"I was jealous and angry. I wanted to be like you. Have a job, have office friends and
have office party. I wanted to come home and tell you stories of my time at work like you did for
me."
"So you broke up with me?" Mile managed. Still shocked at his reason.

"Yes. And I regretted it the moment I left the country. I missed you all day."

"Why didn't you come back?"

Trevor sighed and said, "I was in a coma." "A what?" This was too much Mile. He
couldn't listen to this while standing.

He moved over to the comfortable couch by the side of the big office then waited for
Trevor to continue. "My dad was suffering from leukemia and the hospital said I was a suitable
bone marrow donor but after the transplant, I fell into a coma. I woke up a year ago with
amnesia. It wasn't permanent so my family was glad. A few months passed and then I took over
my dad's business. But Mile, I never forgot you. It was like I woke up to your voice everyday.”

"Your smell, your skin against mine, your laugh, your stories even. I even remembered
when we watched Frozen together."

"Then why didn't you find me?" His voice turned into something new. His tears, suddenly
rolls down onto his cheeks. He came to over to sit by him and Mile couldn't even move. He
wanted to touch him. Hold him like he used to. But he had to keep that to himself for now. "I
did." Trevor said as he played softly with Mile's hair like he used to. "I couldn't remember your
face but I knew it was you the moment I saw you. I didn't know how to tell you. You acted so
normally, I thought you forgot me. I almost thought I was wrong until you introduced yourself.”

"Please Mile, believe me." He begged. "Trevor, I-" The man that used to look so
professional looked just like the little Trevor he kept all to himself. Mile couldn't do anything but
pull him into a tight hug when he saw his watery eyes.

"I love you so much." He wailed. "I searched for you for so long. Please take me back. Please."

Who was Mile to say no to him. Trevor was beyond special to him. He was his big
reindeer that he loved to cuddle with, loved to share carrots with and made him feel all so warm
like it was summer. How could he say no.
"Trevor, I guess I might just be in love again." Or better yet, never stopped loving you.

I’m in the condo right now with Mile, so many things happened to him since I
disappeared after broke his heart. I promise I will never left him.

"Trevor, will you hold me?" I hear Mile's shuddering voice from the living room and I
immediately run over as I hear the pain that mixes with his words.

My heart brakes at the sight of Mile in front of the tv, tears rolling of off his cheeks as a
sad scene plays. He is too sensitive for this, he just can't stand the idea of death or pain. I slowly
walk over to him and pull the soft, blue blanket from his shaking form. I take place next to him
and let him rest between my legs while my chest rests against the arm rest. He slowly rolls onto
his side so his head is buried in my neck and his hands grip my shirt as if it's the only grip he has
right now.

Another thing he can't deal with is the loss of control. He needs to know what is going on
and if he can't find the grip on his emotions, he can't find the grip on anything but me and it
makes me sort of proud. To know that he relies on me when he loses his control for a minute. I
pull the blanket on top of him again so he is completely covered and slowly start pushing the
sides under him so he's wrapped up in a little cocoon. He turns his head a bit and his eyes fall
back onto the tv where the next scene is playing and his beautiful eyes seem to fill with more
water as the couple dies, wrapped up around each other still in love at an age like that.

"If we die, I want to die like them. In love and together, so I'll never have to miss you,"
Mile whispers against my neck and I can't do anything but squeeze him a little bit tighter against
me. "I hope that too, love." I say as I give him a kiss on his forehead.

The movie goes on, but within seconds Mile is asleep, his soft breaths hitting the side of
my neck as he drools on my shoulder. Some would find it disgusting, but it's just another thing I
love about him. He is simply too adorable for his own good.

I slowly pick his sleeping for up into my arms and carry him, still wrapped up in his blanket,
upstairs to our bedroom. I lay him down as carefully as I can and push the hair out of his face
while looking at the water in the garden. He loves me with all of his heart and there's no person
that can tell him not to.

I lay myself down next to him and pull the duvet over us to keep us warm, my arm slowly
pulls him closer to me and he immediately snuggles into my chest. It's as if he can feel my
warmth and wants more of it, no matter how close he is he can never get enough. As I close my
eyes I can only think about one thing and that is how lucky I am to have met someone like Mile.

“I never lost love miloves.” Whisper to his ear and after that I fell asleep with a smile on
my face.
