If ozone layer gets depleted it could have holes in it and sun-rays will fall directly

2. FAVOURITE COLOUR
My favorite colour is white. It is a calm, delicate and bright colour. The origin of
any colour is white. It is the symbol of purity and peace; even our Indian flag has
white colour indicating the peace of our nation.

White colour is used for identity and this is the reason politicians wear white
colour attire which makes them look dignified. Doctors and nurses wear white
colour coats which show the calm nature of the colour and angels are also
dressed in white which shows their superiority.

Many things in nature are in white. Milk is white; the surf of sea waves are white,
many fragrant flower are white and the innocent smile of a child is compared to
this color.

White color is a sign of sacrifice. White colour is also used as a sign of

surrenderence to an enemy. White colour is also used as a symbol for beauty.

In summer many people prefer to wear white dress so that they can be affected
less by the heat.

White colour suits my personality as I am simple and honest person. It is a simple

colour which resembles simplicity. I feel elated whenever I wear white colour
dress. Thus, the reason I love white colour.
 3. IMPACT OF SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES

In today’s world, where everything is just one click away. Social networking sites
have become the need of the present world.

Social networking sites and social media has revolutionized the world, bringing us
closer than ever before and making life easier. They are very much useful not only
to the youths but to all generations.

However, every coin has two sides and addiction to anything is always bad. Being
on social networking site means one should be social but we are social more on
networking sites and are keeping our self’s away from social life

These networking sites are changing the mindsets of the youths, people are living
in the virtual world and trying to present a virtual picture of their life and
updating on social sites. We are not enjoying our real life but trying to pretend
our virtual world to be perfect. We are publishing our personal life for a few
minutes of attention among few people in the virtual world.
Too much use of social networking sites are making individuals dumb. Thus,
today’s youth are engaged in cybercrimes.

4. TEAM WORK
Today I would like to share my views on team work.

Team work is the ability to work together towards a common vision. The ability to
direct individual accomplishment towards organizational objectives.

It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results as quoted
by-Andrew Carnegie.

In order to build a strong team we need to have a common vision that drives
everyone together. We need effective team players to build a strong team.

A team player is someone who is able to get along with their colleagues and work
together in a cohesive group.

5. CORRUPTION IN INDIA

Corruption in India is one of the most menacing threats that our economy has
been battling with ever since the independence. At all levels of Indian
bureaucracy, corruption has seemingly taken its toll and has been corroding the
structure of our nation.

Be it private sector or public sector, Indian people have a tendency of misusing

the public position in their favor to fulfill their motives and gain personal benefits.

A recent unofficial data published by ‘THE HINDU’ estimated that, Indians had
over $1456 billion in Swiss bank. India stands among one of the most corrupt
nations in the world.

Causes:-
When evaluating the causes responsible for corruption. The number seems to be
infinite. However the main reason is lack of implementation of the rules and laws.
There are numerous laws like Indian penal code and the prevention of corruption
act that have been framed to stop corruption but their implementation is missing.

Another prominent reason for corruption is lack of transparency in bureaucracy

and governmental processes.

Consequences:-
The consequences of corruption are grim. The whole system falls apart if the
structure of government is struck by the storm of corruption.
The ones who are not so rich and unable to pay bribes officials, they don’t get
their work done on time and their files collect dust in the offices.

How to reduce corruption:-

When it comes to fighting this adversary, the first blood must be drawn by
general public. If there are no individuals that pay bribe then the structure
automatically resurrects again.
The implementation of laws should be stricter and increased transparency must
be brought into action, unless the general public becomes vigilant, corruption
cannot be unplugged from our nation.

6. CUSTOMER SERVICE

Customer service is the service provided by the companies to their customers to

resolve their queries. It is beneficial for both customers and the companies. If
company provides better customer service then they can attract new customers
and can retain old customers.
With the increase in customer service centers popularly known as call centers or
BPO”S. there is increase in employment opportunities. The main criteria are good
communication skills and telephone etiquettes.

Now a day’s product quality and delivery are basis of business the only difference
left is superior customer service.

7. COLLEGE DAYS

College life is that phase in one’s life when one learns the most important lessons
of his/her life. It is for the first time when an individual is left to himself to make
his own decisions. The importance of maintaining good and healthy relations with
seniors, batch mates and faculty is known in this very important phase of life
called “college life”.

The art of making things happen while working in a group or a team by

coordinating with each other is well learnt during college days. For instance, when
I worked in a group of four members on a project, it was the sense of being in one
team that bind all of us together and motivated all of us to put in a collective
effort in working towards achieving the goal of project completion.

Today, as a professional when I am asked to work in a team, it is very easy for me

to coordinate with my team mates.
I developed the habit of listening to the ideas of all the people working in a group
and have an elaborate discussion among the team members to decide on what
needs to be done.
Another important lesson which I learnt during my college was to maintain good
relations with my professors, seniors and also my batch mates. It always helped
me to gather information about any subject or any other work.

Overall I can say I enjoyed and learnt during college days.

8. IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Good communication skills are an indispensable asset without which the goals are
unreachable. Be it in any field IT, ITES, banking, finance, and insurance, BPO’S, call
center, retail or any other field.

Communication refers to exchange of thoughts and ideas with the intention of

conveying information. Communication is a two way street that includes
vocalization as well as expression.

The purpose of communication is to convey one’s belief, ideas, thoughts or needs

with clarity so as to reach a mutually acceptable solution.
The importance of communication skills cannot be underestimated,

Good communication skills are necessary in all walks of life. The lack of effective
communication skills has a negative impact on the personal as well as
professional life of a person.

Good communication skills are a prerequisite for healthcare providers, teachers,

salesman, corporate employees and many more.
Communication does not refer only to articulating words but it also refers to
feeling an expression.

In the end I would like to say if we have clarity, expression, feelings and intention
to convey thoughts with respect then I believe the goal of communication will be
accomplished.

9. SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SEVICE

You can use customer service as a powerful way to set yourself apart from your
competition. It’s one of the strengths small business possess. You can compete
with larger companies who may offer more variety, lower prices and other things
that you can’t afford. However, sometimes they compromised on customer
service.

To make sure your business succeed, the most important thing that is required is
superior customer service.

There are few basic rules or I should call it as fundamentals to provide superior
customer service are
Apologize, don’t debate:- if a customer has a problem, apologize and fix the
problem, make sure to let customers vent their grievances even if you are
tempted to interrupt and correct them.
Feedback keep you focused:- ask your customers to rate your service on a regular
basis. This can be done via a short questionnaire included with every product sold
or mailed to key clients. Keep the questionnaire short so that it is not a burden for
customers to complete and make sure that they are aware about feedback forms.
 Stay flexible:- you must be flexible when it comes to your customers and
clients, provide that comfort level to your customers, so that they can feel that,
we are treating them with utmost care.
Always say ‘yes’:- this doesn’t mean giving up your personal will to your
customers but it does mean finding a way to help customers with their requests.
EX: - if you run a gift business you might wrap a present for an important client,
even if you don’t usually provide gift wrapping.
Under promise, over deliver:- make your customers believe that they are
important to you by always appearing to go to extra mile. Build a little cushion
into a deadline and deliver early. Estimate that a job will cost more than you think
and bring it in lower.

I believe if we can follow these basic principles we can provide superior customer
service.

10.CONFIDENCE

People think and share, don’t just rely on quotes. To be successful you have to be
confident. World is full of competition, if you are confident you can compete with
anyone, anytime.

Just remember, someone is doing something when you said it is impossible

because you are lacking confidence. Sir Thomas Alva Edison failed thousand times
and worked with several different filaments to invent bulb, because he is
confident that he can do it. If he lacks confidence, we might be in dark today.

You will never know your limits until you push yourself to them, don’t be limited,
be limitless. Think big, think positive, take a risk, be a difference maker and the
field is your sanctuary.

In the end I would like to say to be a winner, you have to act, think and feel like a
winner.

11.EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA

Education is very necessary for each and every person, because we gain
knowledge, wisdom and manners which help us to lead a dignified life.

Now days, every nation is taking steps to make its people educated and eradicate
illiteracy from their country. Coming to the education system of India, we can say
it is well developed comparing to the past days. But, even we face few problems
in the education system of our country.

In the past, India was totally different from now. Today the public and private
educational bodies are working together to achieve academic excellence. At the
same time education has become commercial with the growth of donation
schools and colleges.

In today’s education, the standards in English and mother tongue have decreased
due to the specialization of subjects in science, technology, mathematics and
medicine has increased tremendously. Indian government had succeeded in
advancing the education system by providing primary and higher education to
some extent only.

It has to provide a good quality of education comparatively as of private

institutions, as many schools under government are not properly built, no proper
teaching is done by the teachers, lack of books for students, no proper facilities
etc;

Today the private schools have advanced their method education by introducing
“Edu-comp” methods, but the government is failing in preceding the normal
pattern of education. Thus, it has to take measures in giving proper education and
socializing the people to send their kids to schools but not to work because
“Today’s children are Tomorrow’s citizens”.

12.TRAFFIC
With the rapid increase of economical globalization and urbanization, more
problems are brought to our attention. One of the most common problems is
Traffic Jams.

There are so many reasons of traffic jams. Some of the common reasons are,
· Too many Vehicles
· Lack of Public transportation
· Lack of enough roads
· Lack of wide / broaden roads
· Poor control of traffic systems
· Lack of trained drivers
· Lack of modern transportation facilities like metro-ways, elevated express
ways, flyovers etc
· Lack of adherence to traffic rules

These are some of the common reasons for traffic jams. We need to understand
these problems and should take necessary steps to control traffic jams.

In order to resolve this issue, we need to adhere all the rules and regulations of
the traffic systems. Traffic signals should be maintained by automated system.
Government should take strict steps in solving this problem.
Unless and until we change our perception and develop a mind to abide traffic
rules, whatever strategy will be taken will not work properly.

13.CHILD LABOUR

Child labour is economically unsound, psychologically disastrous and ethically

wrong. The lovely childhood of the children has been crippled by the ever growing
menace of child labour.

If one conceives the idea of child labour, it brings before the eyes the picture of
exploitation of little physically tender, illiterate and undernourished children
working in hazardous and unhealthy conditions.

About 250 million children between the age of five and fourteen work in
developing countries. Atleast 120 million of these children work on full time basis.
In India it is estimated above 28.2 million by the International Labour
Organization (ILO)

The origin of problem of child labour can be traced to some complex social vices
like illiteracy, poverty, inequality, failure of social welfare schemes, population
explosion etc; But when one considers the economics compulsions of the families
which force the children to work, one will be compelled to admit that elimination
of child labour will be a distant dream as long as the socio economic status of
these families is not improved.

The prevalence of child labour is a slap on the conscience of society. Child labour
creates a labour force which is ill-equipped in terms of skills to compete in today’s
globalized economy. It harms not only the present generation but also the
posterity.

Time and again even the supreme court of India has passed orders on the matter
with the directives to abolish child labour but the menace continues. Problem of
child labour must be recognized as a human rights problem. It has to become a
mandatory duty of all governments across the world to take all possible steps to
put an end to this problem child labour once and for all.

Today’s children will constitute the backbone of tomorrow’s society. Hence, it is

the social conscience that needs to be awakened and it is the obligation of every
generation to bring up children and constitute their abilities to the society.

14.MY ROLE MODEL-A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM

Avul Pakir Jainulabedeen Abdul Kalam Azad is the President of India, popularly
known as Missile Man. The nation knows him as a nuclear scientist and the father
of India’s successful missile programmed.

A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was born on 15 October, 1931 at Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.
He did his schooling in Ramanathapuram district, for college he moved out of the
district and studied in St. Joseph’s college in Triuchirapalli and did his diploma in
Engineering from Indian Institute Technology, Chennai.
He started his career with DRDO in 1958 and five year later went to ISRO where
he became the Project Director of SLV. He led India’s first satellite launch
vehicle—’Rohini’ which successfully lifted in 1980. He then became Programme
Director to launch Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme.

In his 14 year work span as Director of Defence Research and Development

Laboratory, he developed up Prithvi, Agni, Trishul, Akash and Nag.
As a defense scientist he got Bharat Ratna for his great success in Agni, Prathvi,
Akash, Trishul and Nag missiles research. Our nation is proud of him because he
brought fame to nation in missile power and challenging researches.

He became the president of India on July 25, 2002. He is the 11th president of
India. Before he became the President of India he received numerous awards
including Pad am Bhutan in 1981, Padama Vibhushan in 1990 and Bharat Ratan,
the country’s highest civilian award, in 1997.

After being the president of the largest democracy of the world, perhaps none
can have any aspiration left, but Kalam has, of opening a school for the poor
children in Rameshwaram. Dr. Kalam says, “If you want to leave your foot prints
on the sand of the time do not drag your feet.” ‘Great dreams and Great
dreamers are always rewarded with victory.’

The ‘Missile Man’ rose from his humble background to become the jewel in
nation’s crown and made missiles for the country thereby making India member
of the exclusive club of nuclear powers in the world.
Besides being a scientist of high caliber, the president of India Dr. Abdul Kalam is
also a poet and a lover of music. Although he has a very few leisure’s in his busy
schedule. He is also fond of playing on Veena.

He is a scientist who thinks, dreams, lives and breathes science. Also earlier the
greatness of the man is also his simplicity despite having many achievements and
honors to his credits.

15.Woman Empowerment

The role of women in society has been greatly overseen in the last few decades
Women and Today’s Society Throughout history, men have traditionally been
regarded as superior to women in both power and status.

Throughout the ages the roles of women are always changing. Some ages and
cultures view the role of a woman as the child bearer. Others look to all aspects of
home-life and treat women as child bearer, cook, and maid. As the times change a
modern picture of women is becoming almost equal to men; we see women in
the work force, women with cell phones, cars, and responsibilities greater than
simply raising children.

Recently, however, feminists in Western societies have fought against the societal
structures that have allowed men to be dominant over women. Much has been
accomplished; women, for example, are now attending colleges and graduate
schools in record numbers. In addition, the number of women in the workforce
has increased significantly.

There was a time when women were just the kitchen keepers and the house
keepers in the Indian society. That was treated as the only field for their activity.
Gradually women began to get educated, even highly educated, and a stage came
when some of them came out on the social and political field to rub shoulder with
the men equally. In the freedom struggle of India, there are notable names of
women who took an active part in the different movements and even reached the
top. This was the opening up of the new horizon for womanhood in India.
Women now are in every career and in every field. But this has its own problems
too. They have to be mothers, and as mothers, they have to give birth to children
and also to rear them up. This becomes for them a major problem. It is the desire
of all parents that their children are well looked after; they are properly nursed
and cared for and grow up healthy.
The major part of this responsibility falls upon the woman — the mother. In this
way balancing between official duties and the home front presents the women-
with-a-career, enormous problems. Whatever said or done, the Indian society still
remains a man-dominated society and the wife may respectably be called the
‘better-half.” These are some of the basic and fundamental problems which the
career-oriented woman in the present Indian society has to face.

16.Corruption in India
Corruption in India is a major issue that adversely affects its economy. A study
conducted by Transparency International in year 2005 found that more than 62%
of Indians had firsthand experience of paying bribes or influence peddling to get
jobs done in public offices successfully. In its study conducted in year 2008,
Transparency International reports about 40% of Indians had firsthand experience
of paying bribes or using a contact to get a job done in public office.
In 2012 India has ranked 94th out of 176 countries in Transparency International's
Corruption Perceptions Index, tied with Benin, Colombia, Djibouti, Greece,
Moldova, Mongolia, and Senegal.
Most of the largest sources of corruption in India are entitlement programmes
and social spending schemes enacted by the Indian government. Examples
include Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act and National
Rural Health Mission. Other daily sources of corruption include India's trucking
industry which is forced to pay billions in bribes annually to numerous regulatory
and police stops on its interstate highways.
Indian media has widely published allegations of corrupt Indian citizens stashing
trillions of dollars in Swiss banks. Swiss authorities, however, deny these
allegations.
The causes of corruption in India include excessive regulations, complicated taxes
and licensing systems, numerous government departments each with opaque
bureaucracy and discretionary powers, monopoly by government controlled
institutions on certain goods and services delivery, and the lack of transparent
laws and processes. There are significant variations in level of corruption as well
as in state government efforts to reduce corruption across India.

17.SOCIAL NETWORKING
A social networking service is a platform to build social networks or social
relations among people who share interests, activities, backgrounds or real-life
connections. A social network service consists of a representation of each user
(often a profile), his social links, and a variety of additional services. Social
networks are web-based services that allow individuals to create a public profile,
to create a list of users with whom to share connections, and view and cross the
connections within the system.

Most social network services are web-based and provide means for users to
interact over the Internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. Social network
sites are varied and they incorporate new information and communication tools
such as mobile connectivity, photo/video/sharing and blogging.

Online community services are sometimes considered as a social network service,

though in a broader sense, social network service usually means an individual-
centered service whereas online community services are group-centered. Social
networking sites allow users to share ideas, pictures, posts, activities, events,
interests with people in their network.
Web-based social networking services make it possible to connect people who
share interests and activities across political, economic, and geographic borders.
Through e-mail and instant messaging, online communities are created where a
gift economy and reciprocal altruism are encouraged through cooperation.
Information is suited to a gift economy, as information is a non-rival good and can
be gifted at practically no cost.
Facebook and other social networking tools are increasingly the object of
scholarly research. Scholars in many fields have begun to investigate the impact
of social-networking sites, investigating how such sites may play into issues of
identity, privacy, social capital, youth culture, and education.
Several websites are beginning to tap into the power of the social networking
model for philanthropy. Such models provide a means for connecting otherwise
fragmented industries and small organizations without the resources to reach a
broader audience with interested users. Social networks are providing a different
way for individuals to communicate digitally. These communities of hypertexts
allow for the sharing of information and ideas, an old concept placed in a digital
environment.

18.ILLITERACY
In India the literacy is still hovering around 74% on an average reaching above
90% in Kerala and below 75% in Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, etc. All
efforts and success in literacy have become obliterated by huge rise in population.
Women population constitutes a larger portion of total illiterate population. In
India, the female literacy rate is around 65 percent as against the male literacy
rate of around 82 percent. Hence, women education is very important to
eradicate illiteracy.
Illiteracy is maximum among Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other
backward classes who are not only poor, but unaware, unconcerned and unwilling
to improve and change their lot. Illiteracy deprives people not only of economic
development but also of all benefits of education, reading, writing, etc. remaining
within the darkness of ignorance, poverty and impoverishes.
It is essential that the Government of India rises up to the occasion and take all
possible steps to set up thousands of primary school all around the country
making literacy and compulsory obligation of every citizen without which he will
be penalized. For this the primary education has to be made free of tuition fees,
all books and papers and instruments including computer to be supplied free.
Unless all citizens are literate or educated they cannot ever read newspaper,
circulars, notices, advertisements, posters, and letters from near and dear ones.
This will compel the illiterate masses to be deprived of 90% benefit of
development, entertainment, sports and games, medical prescription, operate
cell phone, T.V and computer.
Students are the builders of a nation. They can do a lot to eradicate illiteracy.
They can spend their spare time and holidays in helping illiterate people to
become literate, teaching them the habits of hygiene and sanitation.
A blind person cannot witness the captivating beauty of nature. Similarly, an
illiterate person remains blindfolded to the charms of the world of learning and
knowledge. If and when illiteracy will be removed completely, India will be a new
country where 100% people can participate in all programs of economic
development.

19.Self-Confidence
Self-Confidence is that big thing without which you cannot achieve anything.
There are few questions you need to concentrate

a) How many times were you not able to converse with people you wanted to due
to shyness and nervousness?
b) How many times have you felt that you were left in a corner wondering what
to do while your friends get what they want?
c) How many times have you felt sorry for yourself due to lack of confidence and
watched helplessly while others moved forward?
I hope now you believe that self-confidence can change your life faster than you
can imagine.
Self-confidence is not too difficult to attain. It can be developed very easily. The
primary reason
behind the lack of self-confidence is shyness. you need to be comfortable with
yourself to come
out of your shell, called shyness, in which you have kept yourself locked up. The
shyness in turn
is rooted in fear.

Faith is the other big thing you should develop. Faith is defined as a strong belief
in something that
is beyond proof. If you don't believe in yourself, then it is impossible to believe in
anybody else. Commitment, Courage and Hard Work are the qualities every
person should develop in them. Commitment is the important factor for success
of individuals. Commitment ignites action. It implies a pledge from you to a
certain purpose. It signifies "Standing for Something" through determination and
persistence.

Communication skills also plays a important role for self-confidence.

Communication is all about conveying our messages to other people clearly and
unambiguously. By effectively communicating our message across, we convey our
thoughts and ideas effectively. If our communication is poor, the thoughts and
ideas that we actually send across do not reflect what we really think.

Beyond all these qualities, it is love that binds us each other. "Love opens the
most important gates. Love is the gate to all secrets of the universe. Every step
that has been really gained in the world has been gained by love."
A combination of various noble qualities, i.e., faith, commitment, hard work,
courage, communication skills and love all together builds self-confidence. It is
not too difficult to attain. Self-Confidence can be easily learnt and built.

20.EDUCATION QUALIFICATION FOR POLITICIANS

Since, we are living in a technological world where daily new developments,
innovations are taking place, and to understand its modern technique through
scientists and inventors, education plays a key role. And at least to understand
this in an appropriate manner a politician must be educated to express his
country's developments in other countries.

Having educational qualifications should not be the sole criterion for electing a
leader. They should have good qualities to serve people. Hence having the right
educational background and qualifications are important because education acts
as a foundation for implementing policies. Only when people are aware of the
problems can think of the solutions.

So, potential candidates should at least have a degree in fields that are relevant in
the political arena. A politician must know the country's wealth and problems and
get ready for facing upcoming situations.

21.ANDROID TECHNOLOGY
One of the most widely used mobile OS these days is ANDROID. Android is a
software bunch comprising not only operating system but also middle ware and
key applications. Android Inc was founded in Palo Alto of California, U.S. by Andy
Rubin, Rich miner, Nick sears and Chris White in 2003. Later Android Inc. was
acquired by Google in 2005. After original release there have been number of

more choice, more opportunities to customize their phones, and more

subscribers in a manageable and lucrative way. Mobile developers want the

roadblocks to success. Finally, handset manufacturers want a stable, secure, and
affordable platform to power their devices. Up until now single mobile platform
has adequately addressed the needs of all the parties.

Android comes with an Android market which is an online software store. It was
developed by Google. It allows Android users to select, and download applications

22.CHILD LABOR
Children under 14 years working as a labour are considered as Child labour. Child
labour refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of
