Hansel and Gretel

This is a story of two siblings, Hansel and Gretel who lived in a shabby, old house with their
father and their stepmother. Their stepmother hates them and wished they never existed. Their
father was controlled by their step mother as nobody knows their stepmother was a witch.

In their house. Early in the morning.

Stepmother: HANSEL! GRETEL! Come here! Help me with the house chores! Do not go
around playing with the sheeps. I am tired of doing all this work.
Hansel: I am coming, mother. (runs quickly towards mother and helped her to carry a
basket of clothes.)

The stepmother was not happy as their food supply was about to finish. She discussed a wicked
plan with her husband, who was under her control with a powerful spell.

Stepmother: Dear, let’s get rid of Hansel and Gretel for good. Our food is finishing. We
cannot afford to keep them with us. We will die of hunger.
Father: But, they are my children! (Acts furious and stands up in a shock)
Stepmother: (quickly stood up and sprinkled some pixie dust) (in a magical commanding
voice) You shall follow my order. As I am controlling you. You will send
Hansel and Gretel deep into the jungle. Let them to be lost and be eaten by
the wolf.
Father: (looking lost and perplexed) Okay, dear. I will send Hansel and Gretel deep
into the jungle tomorrow to collect fireworks. They will be lost and be eaten
by the wolf.

The stepmother did not realise that Hansel and Gretel was not asleep. They heard all her plan
and was afraid.

Hansel: I am so afraid. (broken voice, watery eyes and sad expression)

Gretel: Do not worry, Hansel. We will save ourselves from this cunning witch and
save our father. Father would never do this to us. (determined voice)
Hansel: But, how would we save ourselves? (scratch his head)
Gretel: Don’t worry. If there is a will, there will be a way. Come lets sleep first. We
 need to pretend as though we do not know anything at all. (Pats Hansel and
they slept soundly).

The next morning, their father,who was under the spell of their stepmother gave them a task.
