Hansel and Gretel

Once upon a time there lived a brother and sister named Hansel and Gretel lived in a hut in the
woods with their father. Their father was a poor woodcutter. His wife, their mother had died
when they were little. As time went by their dad decided to get married again. Their step
mother did not like the condition they are in plus she didn’t like her step childern at all. On a
cold winter night as they were getting ready for bed they overhear their stepmom said,
Step-mom : “How are we gonna get through this winter?? we don’t have enough food! If you
don’t get rid of these kids we’ll all starve to death.”
When their dad try to interrupt their step-mother cut him off by saying ;
Step mom : “No need to argue, I made up my mind. Tomorrow we’ll take them to the woods
and leave them there!!”
Hearing all that Gretel started to cry. Hansel comforted her he said,
Hansel : “Please don’t worry Gretel, we’ll find our way back.”
Later that night, Hansel snuck out and collected as many shinny pebbles that could fit in his
pockets. The next day came by and their mother took them to the forest she said,
Step mom : “Your father works hard and today we will let him rest, we will go cut the woods
ourself.” Leaving their house Hansel and Gretel followed their stepmom into the woods while
doing so Hansel drops the pebbles to the ground making a path that leads back home.
Step mom : “now you wait here and I’ll gather up some wood”
it was already night time and as expected their step mother didn’t come back for them
