My Teaching Philosophy

As a music teacher, I believe that all children are unique and special in their own ways. I

embrace the unique abilities of each of my students. Music is a universal language in which all

peoples can relate. I believe that music helps students to express themselves, gives the student

confidence, and teaches them dedication. Through music education, I will help each one of my

students reach their full potential.

My role as a teacher is to create a welcome, inclusive, and positive environment that

encourages a team effort. I will implement a curriculum that incorporates content that is relevant

to each of my students lives. I will introduce and incorporate music from all walks of life and

express the importance of cultural diversity. The lessons will be composed of hands-on and

cooperative experiences. I will promote creativity, enthusiasm, and provide a space where

students can relax and take a break from the troubles of everyday life.

I believe that by being a teacher, I can continue to learn, adapt, and grow. I will love each

and every one of my students and encourage them to learn and grow musically and in all other

areas of their life.
