BARANGAY
A barangay hall is the seat of local government for the barangay, the lowest elected
administrative division of the Philippines, below that of a Philippine city or Philippine
municipality. The barangay captain, the head of the barangay government, will often hold
office there. The barangay hall also serves as a local community center often providing
space for both permanent and temporary services and events. The barangay's day care
center and office space for the tanods and the barangay health workers are often located
there. Medical missions, religious services, fiestas, and sports contests are often held at or
next to the barangay hall.

History of Barangay
Manresa was created on February 4,1960 by virtual virtue of Ordinance No. 60-4 350. At the
time of its creation the population was approximate 2000. At the present the populaion is
more or less 30,000. The first official chairmamwas Pablo M. David.

Brgy. Manresa is located at Makaturing St. Brgy. Manresa, Quezon City. The entry is an open
porch and you can see the information desk for people who visits. The barangay is a two
storey type of a building. The second floor is only an open space for activities, seminars, and
other development programs. Beside the barangay hall is the basketball court and the park.
Just recently there has been a huge fire outbreak at Dagot st. Which led to destructions of
house. Many citizens became homeless. The barangay court serve as evacuation center and
their temporary home. As of now there are still homeless families are in the barangay court
as I visited the other day.
