EXAMPLES – 13-Feb-09
This demonstration of the STOP will use the default values for nearly all selection options, except
where noted. The design will be for the Eastern U.S. coal fields. The first demonstration will be for a
design for a theoretical detached block of roof material that must be supported. These conditions will
provide a level of support capacity per foot of entry that will be used later. The program will then be used
to seek an alternative roof support system that provides that same support capacity. Finally, a
demonstration of the Ground Reaction Curve design methodology will be given.
