ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

The organisation where I did my internship is known as Larsen & Toubro Infotech
Limited (LTI), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was a pretty knowledgeable experience to work with
professional Front end and Back end developers.

Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited (LTI) is a global IT solutions and services company
based in Mumbai, India. LTI was ranked number 6 in India IT companies in 2013–2014. The
company has 39 offices in 27 countries. It employs standards of the Software Engineering
Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and is a Maturity Level 5
assessed organisation. Founded as L&T Information Technology Ltd in December 1996, LTI
is a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T). During 2001–2002 the
company's name was changed from L&T Information Technology Limited to Larsen &
Toubro Infotech Limited and in the same year the company achieved the assessed level of
SEI Level 5. L&T Infotech dropped the word ‘Infotech’ from its name to reflect the changed
business environment and rebranded itself as 'LTI' with a tag line of 'Let's Solve' in May
2017.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Integral Coach Factory (ICF) is a manufacturer of rail coaches located in Chennai, Tamil
Nadu, India. It was established in 1952, is owned and operated by the Indian Railways. It is
in the neighbourhood of Perambur. The coach factory primarily manufactures rolling
stock for Indian Railways but also exports railway coaches to other countries. ICF set a new
record produce 2503 coaches in the fiscal year 2017-2018. It became the world's largest
railway coach manufacturer, rolling out 3,262 coaches in the fiscal year 2018-2019,
expecting to produce 4,000 units this fiscal year.

LTI got the contract of providing IT solutions to ICF. I was put up in this project with a team
of professional Front end and Back end developers. Our task was to build an online portal or
website for ICF. I assisted the professional developers in building the website step by step. I
used HTML5, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and ANGULAR framework to help building the website. It
was a knowledgeable experience to work for LTI.
