 I do believe that police officers should have some form of college education. To

be more specific I believe entry level cops should require an associates or equivalent

and more advanced positions require more schoolwork. Learning in college is so much

different from highschool, you really have to be responsible and make sure to motivate

yourself to stay on track, in school, at work, and in life in general. In highschool you see

your teachers everyday, you have assigned counselors, homeroom teachers and

parents. For me I recently moved out and this semester i only have online classes, i had

to discipline myself and no one really bugged me along the way to make sure it was

done. Going to college teaches people how to create a work ethic, to be dedicated or

face the consequences, or to fail, which costs them time and money.
