noticed in Hyderabad & very recently in Kuwait. I am not aware if this is also noticed in other parts of the World. The symptoms are fever, slight cough, slight running nose, hands and feet cold but body in high fever ranging from 101-104 C. Children less than the age of 5 are more prone to it. Even the adults are falling prey to it. The following are precautionary & ongoing steps that you can take, because a great deal of money is spent on doctor's fees & medicines as obviously the parents want their child to recover.
1. Use Paracetamol syrup or tablet (as per doctor) in every 4 hours
& increase the hours gap as the fever goes down. 2. Antibiotics are not fully working so use one time course as changing to other drugs are not working. 3. Do sponging on forehead, palms & feet as the fever goes up. 4. Use more of any of the natural remedies (don't over take it as this increases stomach heat hence depending on the child's capacity) like Ajwain (carom seeds or bishop's weed) or haldi in milk or boiled egg with black pepper slightly sprinkled on two halves. 5. Avoid outside food to the maximum as it is not hygienic, adulterated & not fresh. Specially pani puri, rugda & all ghup chup bandi items. 6. Give a good cough syrup to clear the wheezing & cough. 7. Use vicks vaporub (it is mild) or any other vaporubs for chest, ribs & back application. 8. Use separate utensils & keep the child separated from other children to avoid contact. 9. Chicken soup made at home is a good food that can be given.
I am advising after we have applied to my child who is 4 years old....
Note: This is only a suggestion, the reader pl. consult a doctor if the illness prolongs more than 3 days & can use if he feels OK.
