An elevator works in the following manner.

It remains as idle
when no passenger enters the elevator and uses it. However,
when a passenger enters and presses the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’
button to a floor of his choice, the lift begins to move up or
down and then stops when it reaches the floor as indicated.
When the lift is on the ground floor, only the ‘Up’ button can
be pressed. Similarly, when the lift is at the top floor, the
‘Down’ button only can be pressed. At times, there may be a
breakdown and causes the lift to stop not at any floor. The lift
then becomes stalled. When this happens, the emergency
response system will trigger a forced ‘up’ or ‘down’
movement of the lift to the nearest floor.
The lift remains out-of-service until repairs are carried and
the cycle of lift movements resumes unless it is irreparable
and needs overhaul.
Draw a state diagram to show the states of the lift, events,
guard conditions and event actions.
